Fits Sprint Diamond Pro, VX6950, PPC6850, and MP6590 models using BTR6850, BTR6850B, or 35H00111-12M batteries.
3.7V at 2400mAh delivers the same capacity as original packs for this Windows Mobile handheld.
Connector is a two-pin spring contact design; orient the + and − terminals toward the device slot contacts.
We bench tested this cell in a Diamond Pro with a full charge cycle — the BMS accepted the handshake and held voltage stable through standby drain.
Perform a full data sync to your host computer before removing the old battery — the PDA stores active files and settings in RAM powered by the main cell, and removing power without syncing causes data loss.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sprint Diamond Pro / VX6950 / PPC6850 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BTR6850)

This 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-ion battery replaces part numbers BTR6850, BTR6850B, and 35H00111-12M. It fits the Sprint Diamond Pro, VX6950, PPC6850, and MP6590 Windows Mobile PDAs. If your original cell no longer holds adequate charge during business use, this is the direct replacement.

  • Diamond Pro / VX6950 platform compatibility: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V power rail, and connector pinout. The BMS on each handshakes with the same cell spec, so all four accept this replacement without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a PPC6850 unit. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, voltage stabilised at 3.7V nominal, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold without hanging the device.
  • Sync before you swap: Perform a full data sync to the host computer before removing the battery. The Diamond Pro stores open files and application state in RAM powered directly by the main cell. Removing the battery without syncing first will erase any unsaved data in active memory.

Why the Diamond Pro won't boot after a new battery is fitted

The Diamond Pro boot sequence requires a minimum voltage before the device will power on. Replacement cells ship at a partial state of charge — often below that threshold — so the device appears dead even though the battery is functional. This is not a fault with the handset or the cell. Connect the device to a charger for at least 30 minutes before attempting the first boot, then press the power button.

Battery life noticeably shorter during active wireless sync or scanning sessions

The wireless radio and any active data transmission draw significantly more current than standby or basic PIM use. Under sustained sync loads, the cell voltage can sag enough to trigger the BMS low-voltage cutoff early, making the battery appear weaker than its rated 2400mAh. This is a draw characteristic, not a defective cell. To extend active session length, lower the display backlight to its minimum setting and close background applications before initiating a wireless sync.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Diamond Pro lost all my contacts and calendar data after I swapped the battery — why did this happen?

The Diamond Pro holds active data — open contacts, calendar entries, unsaved notes — in SRAM that is powered directly by the main battery. The moment the old cell is removed, that volatile memory loses power and the data is gone. This is not a fault with the replacement battery. Before any future swap, perform a full ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center sync to move that data to the host computer first.

The device powers on after fitting the new battery but freezes on the boot screen and won't get past it — what's wrong?

The boot sequence on these Windows Mobile handsets requires a stable voltage above approximately 3.5V to complete POST and load the OS. If the cell shipped at a low state of charge, the voltage sags under the boot load and the device stalls. Connect to a wall charger and let the battery reach at least a 50% charge before powering on — the boot screen freeze should not reoccur once the cell is adequately charged.

Wireless sync on my VX6950 keeps dropping mid-transfer after the battery replacement — is the new cell causing this?

The wireless radio on the VX6950 is voltage-sensitive and will disconnect when the cell voltage drops under transmission load. If the replacement battery was not fully charged before the sync attempt, transient voltage sag during radio bursts will cause repeated drops. Charge the battery fully before running a wireless sync session, and confirm the battery indicator reads at least three bars — sync reliability is directly tied to available cell voltage under radio load.
