Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NEC MobilePro 300E — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MIT-BAR01)

This is a 3.7V Li-ion replacement battery rated at 1100mAh (4.07Wh) for the NEC MobilePro 300E handheld PC. It replaces the original MIT-BAR01 cell in units where the factory battery no longer holds a usable charge. The MobilePro 300E runs Windows CE and stores active data in RAM — the main battery is the only power source keeping that memory alive.

  • MobilePro 300E compatibility: The 300E uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with the MIT-BAR01 part number. This replacement matches that voltage rail and connector geometry, so the BMS handshake completes normally on first insertion.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a MobilePro 300E unit. The BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, and the charge circuit brought it to full voltage without thermal events.
  • RAM state before removal: Sync all open files and application data to a host PC before pulling the old battery. The MobilePro 300E holds running application state entirely in volatile RAM — when the main battery drops out, that data is gone with no recovery path.

Why the MobilePro 300E loses saved data during a battery swap

The MobilePro 300E has no onboard flash storage for application state. Open documents, unsaved settings, and active program data live in SRAM that the main battery powers continuously. The moment the cell is removed, that voltage rail drops to zero and the SRAM contents are wiped. Swapping the battery quickly does not help — there is no capacitor or backup cell holding that memory during the swap window.

MobilePro 300E shows black screen and won't boot after new battery installed

A freshly installed Li-ion cell shipped in storage state may sit at 3.0V or below — below the minimum the MobilePro 300E boot sequence requires. The device will show a blank screen or fail to respond to the power button entirely. Connect to the charger for at least 20–30 minutes before pressing power. Once the cell reaches approximately 3.6V, the boot sequence will proceed normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My MobilePro 300E lost all my files and contacts after I swapped the battery — is that normal?

Yes, and it happens on every MobilePro 300E battery swap. The device stores contacts, files, and open application state in volatile SRAM powered directly by the main battery. When the old cell comes out, that RAM loses power instantly and the contents are gone. Before any future swap, run a full ActiveSync or Windows CE sync to your PC to push everything off the device first.

The MobilePro 300E won't turn on at all after I put the new battery in — what do I check first?

Li-ion cells ship in a low-voltage storage state, sometimes as low as 3.0V. The MobilePro 300E boot sequence will not start below a minimum threshold, so the device appears completely dead even though the battery is physically seated correctly. Plug into the charger and leave it for 30 minutes before pressing the power button. If the charge LED activates, the battery is good — the device just needed voltage above the boot floor before it would respond.

My MobilePro 300E battery drains much faster when I use wireless sync than when I just read files — is the battery faulty?

The battery is working as expected. The wireless radio and the sync process draw significantly more current than passive document reading, and at 1100mAh the 300E pack is a small cell. That increased draw is real and normal for this device class. If drain during sync seems excessive even on a fully charged cell, check that the wireless connection is completing rather than retrying — a dropped sync session keeps the radio active and pulling current the entire time.
