Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Stageclix Jack V2 Transmitter — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (399459)
This 2.4V, 700mAh Ni-MH cell replaces the original battery in the Stageclix Jack V2 Transmitter. The Jack V2 is a compact wireless audio transmitter used in stage and performance environments. It slots directly into the transmitter housing and uses the same voltage rail as the factory cell.
- Jack V2 Transmitter fit: The Jack V2 runs a 2.4V two-cell Ni-MH configuration. The voltage rail, connector orientation, and physical footprint all match the OEM cell. No adapter or modification needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell under a combined audio signal and DECT radio load. The BMS held voltage without dropping into cutoff, and the transmitter maintained a stable output signal throughout the test cycle.
- First-cycle base station pairing: On first use, place the transmitter in its charging dock and complete a full charge cycle before transmitting audio. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle and won't display an accurate charge level until it finishes.
Base station showing a charging error after fitting the new cell
The Jack V2 base station handshakes with the transmitter cell during the first charge. If the cell arrives at storage voltage — typically around 2.2V — the base may flag a charge error or refuse to begin charging. This happens because the BMS hasn't completed its initialisation with the new pack. Remove the transmitter, reseat it firmly, and leave it on the dock for a full uninterrupted charge cycle. Once the base reaches 2.4V on the cell, the error clears.
Transmitter cutting out mid-performance on a new battery
Cutouts during use are almost always voltage sag under combined load — the DECT radio and audio circuit draw simultaneously, which pulls the cell voltage below the transmitter's cutoff threshold. Ni-MH cells are particularly prone to this in the first few cycles before internal resistance settles. Run three to five full charge and discharge cycles to allow the cell to stabilise. After conditioning, check that the transmitter reads at least 2.4V on a full charge before a performance.

Frequently Asked Questions
The base station shows full charge but the Jack V2 cuts off after just a few minutes of use — what's wrong?
This points to the cell sitting at storage voltage when it arrived — the base station misread it as full because the voltage was close enough to trigger the charge indicator, but the cell never completed a proper charge cycle. Seat the transmitter in the dock and leave it for a full, uninterrupted charge without removing it mid-cycle. The base needs to run the cell from its actual resting voltage up to 2.4V before the charge level display is trustworthy. After one complete cycle, this behaviour stops.
Talk time is noticeably shorter than the rated capacity for the first few uses — is the battery faulty?
It's not faulty. Ni-MH cells ship in a partially discharged state, and internal resistance is higher before the cell has been cycled. The first charge rarely delivers full capacity. Run three to five complete charge and discharge cycles through the base station — capacity builds progressively across those cycles. By cycle five, the cell should be delivering close to the rated 700mAh.
The transmitter housing feels warm during long sets — is that a problem with the new cell?
Some warmth is normal. The Jack V2 housing is small, and the combined draw from the audio circuit and DECT radio generates heat in a confined space. Ni-MH chemistry also produces more heat during charge and discharge than lithium cells. If the transmitter becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, check that the housing vents aren't blocked and that the cell is seated correctly — a misaligned cell increases contact resistance and adds heat. A warm transmitter running at 2.4V under load is operating within spec.
