Fits Stiga Autoclip 140, Autoclip 145, Autoclip 500 and related models using OEM part numbers 101-806, 1126-9105-01, 1126-9138-01, or CS C0106/1.
25.9V, 7800mAh Li-ion pack delivers 202Wh for full-perimeter coverage on a single charge cycle.
Connector seats into the mower's rear battery slot with a spring-loaded latch; orientation marked on the pack housing.
Bench testing confirmed clean BMS handshake on insertion and steady voltage delivery under blade motor load without early cutoff.
Before first use in spring, bring the pack indoors overnight if outdoor temperatures stay below 10°C — cold cells trigger higher motor inrush current and can trip the BMS mid-row unnecessarily.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Stiga Autoclip 140 / 500 Series — 25.9V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1126-9105-01)

This is a 25.9V 7800mAh Li-ion battery for the Stiga Autoclip robotic lawn mower range. It fits the Autoclip 140, 140 4WD, 145, and 500 series, among others. Voltage and capacity match the OEM spec exactly — the mower's charging station and onboard BMS will recognise it without modification.

  • Autoclip 140 / 145 / 500 platform fit: These models share the same 25.9V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. One battery covers the full range listed — no adapters, no wiring changes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through full charge and discharge cycles on the Autoclip platform. The BMS handshake cleared on first connection, charge acceptance was confirmed at the station, and cell balancing completed without faults.
  • First spring use — temperature prep: If the mower has been stored in a cold garage over winter, bring the battery indoors overnight before reinstalling it. Below 10°C, Li-ion cells carry higher internal resistance and the blade motor's inrush current can trip the BMS on a cold pack before it ever cuts a strip.

BMS cutoff under thick or wet grass blade load

The Autoclip's blade motor draws significantly more current when cutting wet or overgrown grass. If the pack voltage sags quickly under that load, the BMS will cut power to protect the cells — the mower stops, then restarts after a short delay. This is normal protective behaviour, not a battery fault. Running scheduled cuts more frequently keeps grass height low and keeps peak current draw within the BMS threshold.

Charging station showing fault light after winter storage

After months of self-discharge in storage, cell voltage can drop below the charging station's minimum acceptance threshold — typically around 20V for a 25.9V pack. The station reads the low voltage as a fault and refuses to charge. To recover the pack, use a compatible Li-ion charger with a recovery or boost mode to bring each cell above 3.0V, then return the battery to the docking station. If the station then accepts the pack and charges normally, no further action is needed.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Stiga Autoclip cuts out halfway across the lawn then starts again on its own — is the battery failing?

Not necessarily. The mower's BMS trips the blade motor circuit when cell temperature or voltage sag crosses a protection threshold — usually after sustained cutting in thick or wet conditions. The automatic restart you're seeing is the BMS resetting after a short cooldown, which is normal protective behaviour. Let the mower sit for five minutes after a cutout, then check whether grass height or moisture is the common factor — lowering the cut frequency so grass stays shorter will reduce peak current draw and stop the trips.

The charging station is flashing a fault code after the mower sat unused all winter — why won't it charge?

Over a long storage period, Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly. If the pack drops below roughly 20V, the Autoclip docking station's charger circuit refuses to accept it as a safety measure against charging deeply depleted cells at full current. Use a standalone Li-ion charger with a recovery or trickle-start mode to bring cell voltage above 3.0V per cell before returning the pack to the station. Once the station accepts the pack and the charge indicator returns to normal, the battery is fine to use.

The replacement battery feels warmer than my old one during the first few charges — should I be concerned?

New Li-ion cells run slightly warmer for the first few charge and discharge cycles while the cell chemistry stabilises and the BMS calibrates its balancing thresholds. We measured surface temperature on the bench during early cycles and it normalised by cycle five. As long as the casing is warm rather than hot to the touch and the mower isn't cutting out, no action is needed — continue normal scheduled use through the first five cycles.
