Fits Swisstone BBM 410, BBM 230, SC 330, SC 230 smartphones; replaces OEM part SB-330230.
Voltage 3.7V, capacity 1050mAh — standard single-cell output for this phone's modem and display load.
Connector slides into the original battery slot with no modifications; locking tab engages flush against the housing.
We cycled this cell through five full discharge-charge runs on a BBM 410 test unit; fuel gauge IC settled by cycle three.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled to let the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Swisstone BBM 410 / SC 330 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (SB-330230)

This 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell replaces OEM part SB-330230 in the Swisstone BBM 410, BBM 230, SC 330, and SC 230 handsets. The cell matches the original dimensions at 53.16 × 33.77 × 5.34mm, so it seats correctly in the battery bay. Drop capacity is 3.89Wh — identical to the stock specification.

  • BBM and SC series compatibility: These four models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal voltage rail, and connector pinout. One cell covers all of them because the BMS handshake and charge termination voltage are consistent across the platform.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a BBM 410 chassis. The BMS accepted charge termination at 4.2V, protection tripped correctly on overcurrent, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge without error flags after the second full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before the charge IC pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the BBM 410 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the old cell's discharge curve in memory. A new cell with different internal resistance hits a voltage cliff under modem or screen load before the gauge reaches 0%. The phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold under load. One full discharge-to-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to recalibrate against the real cell, and the shutdowns stop.

Device won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells in storage self-discharge slowly. If the cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks current flow to protect the cell from damage. The phone shows nothing — no charging animation, no response. Connect it to a charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold, typically 2.9V, at which point the BMS unlocks and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The BBM 410 shuts off at around 25% battery — why does this happen with a new cell?

The fuel gauge IC calibrated its discharge curve to the old cell. When a new cell with different internal resistance hits load from the modem or screen, the terminal voltage drops below the BMS cutoff before the percentage reaches 0%. The phone shuts down even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. Run one full discharge cycle — drain to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — and the coulomb counter resets its curve to the new cell.

The battery percentage on my BBM 410 jumps around erratically after fitting this replacement — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. The fuel gauge IC on the BBM 410 stores learned capacity data from the previous cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored data no longer matches reality, so the percentage reading jumps as the IC tries to reconcile the mismatch. After one or two complete discharge-charge cycles, the IC rewrites its reference data to match the new cell and the readings stabilise.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging — is that normal with a new replacement cell?

Yes, and it is specific to the first few cycles. A new cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a worn-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat while pushing current in. The warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five full charge cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone stays hot to the touch beyond five cycles, check that nothing is blocking airflow around the back cover and confirm the charger output matches the rated input — 5V USB.
