This 3.7V 2400mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original BG58100 cell in the T-Mobile Mytouch 4G Slide, Doubleshot, and PG59100. It fits the slide-out QWERTY form factor directly — same footprint at 51.20 × 50.70 × 10.50mm. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds charge through a full day of use.

  • Mytouch 4G Slide, Doubleshot, and PG59100 fit: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V rail, and BMS handshake protocol. The BG58100 part number covers the full group — same connector, same cutoff thresholds.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Mytouch 4G Slide platform. The BMS engaged correctly at low-voltage cutoff and accepted a full charge without fault flags on the device.
  • Sync before you swap: The Mytouch 4G Slide holds open application state and unsaved data in RAM powered by the main battery. Pull the battery without syncing first and that data is gone. Back up to the host or cloud before removing the cell.

Why the Mytouch 4G Slide drains faster with the 4G radio active

The 4G radio on the Mytouch 4G Slide draws significantly more current than Wi-Fi or idle standby. When the signal is weak, the radio boosts transmit power to maintain a connection — pulling harder on the cell and accelerating voltage drop. A degraded original battery hits low-voltage cutoff much sooner under this load. A fresh 2400mAh cell has more headroom to sustain the radio under poor signal conditions without tripping the BMS cutoff.

Mytouch 4G Slide stuck on boot screen after battery installation

A new cell shipped in storage state may sit below the minimum voltage the boot sequence requires to initialise the baseband and radio stack. If the device hangs on the boot screen or immediately shuts off, the battery is not flat — it is under the boot threshold. Connect the phone to a wall charger for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. Once the cell reads above approximately 3.6V, the boot sequence completes normally.
