Fits Acer C121 smartphone; replaces OEM battery part AVC120SL.
3.7V, 1200mAh lithium-ion cell restores full capacity to the C121 after original degradation.
Connector slides into the stock battery slot with positive terminal facing the device contact plate.
We ran full discharge cycles on the C121 platform; BMS accepted the cell without fault codes or early cutoff.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TELMI Acer C121 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Acer C121 smartphone. It fits directly into the C121 and restores power capacity lost through repeated charge cycles on the original cell. Dimensions are 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — verify against your existing battery before ordering.

  • Acer C121 fit: The C121 uses a single-cell 3.7V Li-ion pack with a fixed connector pinout. This battery matches that voltage rail and physical footprint. No modification needed to seat it correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the C121 platform. The BMS accepted charge normally, and protection circuits tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff — no thermal event, no false full-charge flag.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old, degraded cell. When load spikes — modem transmitting, screen at full brightness — the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects at that reported percentage. The phone reads 25% but the actual cell voltage has already crossed the cutoff threshold under load. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge resets the coulomb counter and eliminates most of these events.

Phone won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

Li-ion cells that drop below approximately 2.5V trigger a BMS lockout — the protection circuit opens to prevent damage and the phone shows nothing when you press the power button. Plugging in a charger may not immediately recover the cell because the BMS needs a trickle current to re-initialise before normal charge current is accepted. Leave the phone on charge for at least 15–20 minutes without interruption. If the charge IC starts trickle charging the cell back above 2.8V, the BMS will re-engage and charging will proceed normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Acer C121 keeps shutting off around 25% battery — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the C121 calibrated its discharge curve against the old, worn cell — when the new cell's voltage drops under modem or screen load, the IC still thinks there's charge remaining and the phone cuts out. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter an accurate reference and the shutdowns usually stop.

The battery percentage on my C121 jumps around erratically after I fitted the new battery — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

Erratic percentage readings are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a fault with the cell itself. The IC stored charge-curve data for the original battery and is now misreading the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles at standard charge rate with fast charging off. By the second cycle the IC will have rebuilt a stable curve and the percentage display will settle.

Fast charging stopped working on my C121 after replacing the battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes won't negotiate fast-charge protocol until it has completed one standard-rate charge and confirmed the new BMS responds correctly. This is a handshake issue between the charge IC and the new cell's protection circuit, not a hardware fault. Charge fully once at standard rate using the original cable and charger, then disconnect and reconnect — fast charging should re-engage on the next session.
