Fits Telstra Cricket A410 and replaces OEM battery part A410.
3.7V at 1200mAh delivers 4.44Wh — enough for calls and messaging on this compact phone.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot; locking tab seats flush against the housing frame.
We ran full discharge cycles on the bench; BMS accepted charge at standard rate with no cutoff errors.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle before enabling any fast charging — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Telstra Cricket A410 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A410)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion battery for the Telstra Cricket A410 mobile phone. It also fits the Calcomp A410 and PCD Calcomp A410 variants sharing the same OEM part number. Swap it when the original cell can no longer hold charge through a normal day of calls and messaging.

  • Cricket A410 / Calcomp A410 fit: All three model variants — Cricket A410, Calcomp A410, and PCD Calcomp A410 — use the same physical footprint, connector pin-out, and BMS handshake. One cell covers all three.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the A410 platform. The BMS accepted the charge profile without interruption and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first install, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the A410 after a cell swap

The A410's fuel gauge IC retains the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When the new cell hits the voltage point the IC previously mapped as 20–30%, the phone interprets it as a critical low and cuts power — even though real capacity remains. The fix is a full calibration cycle: drain the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with the screen off. After one complete cycle, the coulomb counter resets against the new cell and percentage readings stabilise.

A410 won't power on after sitting in storage with a flat battery

Li-ion cells that drain below roughly 2.5V trigger the BMS protection circuit, which latches the cell off to prevent damage. The phone shows nothing on screen — not even a charging animation — when you plug in the cable. Connect the charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes; the charge IC delivers a slow trickle current to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage crosses approximately 3.0V, the BMS unlocks and normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

The A410 shows 25% battery and then dies without warning — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The A410's fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the old, worn cell's voltage curve, so it misreads the new cell's state of charge and triggers a shutdown before the battery is actually empty. Run one full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% with the screen off. After that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter maps the new cell correctly and the early shutdowns stop.

My A410 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is something wrong?

A new Li-ion cell at full factory capacity has slightly higher internal impedance on its first few charge cycles compared to a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes current into that resistance, which generates mild heat — this is normal and settles after three to five cycles. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, remove it from the charger and let it cool before continuing. Warmth that fades after the first few charges needs no action.

After fitting the replacement, the battery percentage jumps around erratically — 60%, then 45%, then 55% within minutes.

Erratic percentage jumps mean the fuel gauge IC is actively recalibrating against the new cell and has not yet built a stable discharge model. This happens because the old cell's data stored in the coulomb counter no longer matches the new cell's voltage-to-capacity curve. Do not top up or partially charge — instead, let the phone discharge fully to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% in one go. The jumping stops once the IC completes that first full reference cycle.
