Fits Cricket A410 and replaces OEM battery part A410.
3.7V and 1200mAh capacity restores full power to the A410 smartphone after original cell degradation.
Connector slides onto the phone's internal contact pads with no locking tab — orientation is keyed.
We ran full discharge cycles on a bench A410 board; the BMS accepted charge at 500mA without fault codes.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled — this recalibrates the fuel gauge IC to the new cell's voltage curve before high-current charging resumes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cricket A410 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A410)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell for the Cricket A410 smartphone. It also fits the Calcomp A410 and PCD Calcomp A410, which share the same battery bay and connector. Voltage and capacity match the original specification exactly.

  • A410 platform compatibility: The Cricket A410, Calcomp A410, and PCD Calcomp A410 all use the same physical footprint, connector pin-out, and BMS handshake protocol — the battery is interchangeable across these variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on an A410 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, the charge IC stepped through pre-charge, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases correctly, and the fuel gauge IC registered capacity without fault codes.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installing this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle before normal use. The fuel gauge IC on the A410 calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve during that first cycle. Skipping this step causes the percentage display to read inaccurately for the first several days.

Why the A410 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The A410 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state by counting coulombs against a stored discharge curve. When you swap the cell, the IC still references the old cell's curve — which no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. Until the IC completes one full discharge and recharge cycle, the percentage reading drifts or stalls. No software fix corrects this — the recalibration only happens through a physical cycle.

Sudden shutdown at 20–25% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops faster than the fuel gauge IC predicts under high-current loads — specifically when the modem is transmitting or the screen is at full brightness. The cell voltage hits the BMS cutoff threshold before the displayed percentage reaches zero. The fix is to complete two full discharge-charge cycles so the fuel gauge IC maps the actual voltage cliff on this cell. After calibration, the shutdown point typically shifts back below 5%.

Frequently Asked Questions

The A410 shuts off at around 20% right after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC is still using the discharge curve from the old battery, so it misjudges how much voltage is left when the modem or screen draws heavy current. Run two full discharge-charge cycles — drain the phone to automatic shutdown each time, then charge to 100% without interruption. After those two cycles the IC remaps the voltage cliff and the early shutdown stops.

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — the screen just stays black.

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below roughly 2.5V the BMS has locked out the cell to prevent damage. Plug the phone into a charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs time to trickle current into the cell and bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once voltage recovers above 3.0V the BMS unlocks and the phone boots normally.

Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery — it only charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the A410 defaults to a conservative constant-current rate until it validates the new cell's impedance and BMS handshake. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full charge cycle at the slow rate, then unplug and replug the charger — fast charging re-enables once the charge IC confirms the cell parameters are within range.
