Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tesla RoboStar T50 / T60 / T80 Pro — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 14.8V, 2600mAh (38.48Wh) lithium-ion battery for the Tesla RoboStar T50, T60, and T80 Pro robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original cell when capacity has faded and cleaning cycles have shortened noticeably. Same voltage, same form factor — fits the original battery bay without modification.
- T50, T60, and T80 Pro compatibility: All three models share the same 14.8V battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. A single cell revision covers the full range without cross-wiring or adapter work.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the T50 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, current draw matched rated spec under normal suction load, and protection circuits tripped correctly on simulated blockage.
- Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the RoboStar sitting on its dock continuously between uses. These vacuums on permanent dock charge develop capacity fade faster than those removed after a full charge. Charge to full, then lift it off the dock until the next scheduled clean.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
This happens when the motor is drawing more current than rated due to a partially blocked filter or brush roll restriction. The BMS reads the overcurrent spike as a low-capacity event and reduces power to the motor before the display catches up. It is not always a battery fault. Clean the filter and check the brush roll for hair wrap before replacing the cell — if suction recovers after cleaning, the battery was not the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-cycle and then recovering on its own
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a mechanical failure. When the vacuum transitions from hard floor to thick carpet, motor load spikes sharply. If the filter is even partially blocked, that spike pushes current past the BMS protection threshold and the circuit opens temporarily. The vacuum pauses, the BMS resets, and the motor restarts — usually within a few seconds. Clean the filter first. If trips continue on a cleared filter with a new battery, check that cell voltage under load stays above 12.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My RoboStar T50 suction feels weak even when the battery shows full — is the new battery faulty?
Not necessarily. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, which pulls more current and causes the BMS to throttle motor power before the battery indicator drops. Remove and tap the filter clean, then check the brush roll for hair buildup. If suction returns to normal after cleaning, the battery is fine — restricted airflow was the cause.
The vacuum keeps stopping mid-clean and restarting by itself — what triggers that?
That is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, typically when the motor surges crossing from hard floor onto carpet. The trip is more likely on a clogged filter because restricted airflow pushes motor current higher than the protection threshold. Clean the filter completely, then run a cycle — if the self-stopping stops, airflow was the issue. If it continues with a clean filter and a fresh battery, check that resting cell voltage is at or above 16.4V after a full charge.
The replacement battery faded faster than expected after only a few months — what went wrong?
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause. Robotic vacuums left on the dock permanently receive a low-level trickle charge that degrades lithium-ion cells faster than normal charge-discharge cycling. Charge the battery fully after each cleaning run, then remove the vacuum from the dock and store it off-charge until the next use. That single habit change significantly slows capacity loss on 14.8V Li-ion cells like this one.
