Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bissell SpinWave Wet & Dry Robotic Vacuum — 14.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1625424)
This 14.8V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery fits the Bissell SpinWave Wet, Dry Robotic Vacuum across models 2859, 3115, and over 40 additional variants. It replaces OEM part numbers 1625424, 5345, Z65B155, 1618526, and 1624434. The cell pack powers both the spinning pad drive motor and the onboard cleaning solution dispensing system.
- SpinWave 2859 and 3115 compatibility: These models share a common 14.8V battery rail, connector footprint, and BMS handshake protocol. A replacement cell that matches all three parameters will initialise correctly and report charge state accurately to the robot's onboard controller.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and discharge cycles on a SpinWave unit, confirming the BMS communicated charge state correctly, overcurrent protection triggered at the expected threshold, and the protection circuit did not trip under normal dual-motor load.
- Dock charging habit for SpinWave units: The SpinWave's charging dock does not terminate charge and remove voltage once full — it continues supplying trickle current. Remove the robot from the dock once charging is complete rather than leaving it docked between every session. Continuous trickle charge accelerates cell capacity loss faster than normal cycle wear.
Battery fade from leaving the SpinWave on the dock continuously
Li-ion cells held at 100% state of charge while simultaneously receiving trickle current degrade faster than cells cycled normally. The SpinWave dock keeps the battery topped up at all times, which means the cells rarely drop below 95% before being charged again. Shallow top-up cycles under trickle voltage cause electrolyte stress at the cathode that compounds over months. Charge the unit to full, remove it from the dock, and return it only when charge is needed.
SpinWave cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a short pause
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When the spinning pads drag — on a sticky floor residue, a tangled fibre, or a partially clogged water port — the pad motor draws current above the BMS protection threshold. The BMS disconnects output to protect the cells, the unit pauses, and then resets once current demand drops. Clear the pad drive mechanism and check that the cleaning solution nozzles are not blocked before running again. If the cutout repeats on a clean floor with no obstruction, verify the replacement cell's BMS threshold matches the OEM spec at 14.8V nominal.

Frequently Asked Questions
My SpinWave runs for a noticeably shorter time than it used to, but the battery indicator still shows full — what's happening?
The battery indicator reads voltage, not true capacity. As cells age, they lose usable capacity but still reach the voltage threshold the robot reads as "full." The result is a pack that reports 100% but delivers far less run time than when new. A replacement cell at the rated 2600mAh will restore actual usable capacity — the indicator reading full will then reflect a genuinely full pack again.
The SpinWave won't come off the charging dock fully charged — it starts a clean and dies almost immediately on the new battery. What should I check first?
This points to a BMS handshake issue between the replacement cell and the SpinWave's charger circuit. The robot expects a specific communication signal from the battery's protection board before it registers a valid charge. Confirm the replacement cell's BMS matches the OEM part numbers — specifically 1625424 or 1618526 — and that the connector is fully seated. If the charger LED cycles abnormally, remove the battery, wait 30 seconds, reseat it, and attempt charging again from a cold state.
The spinning pads on my SpinWave slow down and lose scrubbing pressure toward the end of a clean, even though the battery isn't showing low — is that a battery issue?
Yes — this is voltage sag under load. As the cell discharges toward the lower end of its usable range, the voltage delivered to the pad drive motors drops below the level needed to maintain full torque. The battery indicator may not yet show low because it reads resting voltage, not loaded voltage. A fresh cell at 2600mAh holds the voltage rail stable for longer, which keeps pad motor speed consistent across the full cleaning session.
