Fits Therabody Smart Goggles (TB-TH-C) thermal eye-care device with original battery part number TB-TH-C.
3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers sustained power to heating and vibration motors during sessions.
Connector seats into the Smart Goggles charging dock with no mechanical locking tab or keyed orientation.
We bench-tested the cell under thermal load cycling — BMS remained stable through repeated heating cycles without voltage sag.
After exposure to moisture near the charging dock, dry all contacts fully before inserting; trapped moisture triggers BMS protection faults that mimic dead batteries rather than charging errors.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Therabody Smart Goggles — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TB-TH-C)

This 3.7V, 1800mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Therabody Smart Goggles (TB-TH-C). The Smart Goggles use thermal heating and vibration to deliver eye recovery and wellness sessions. When the original battery degrades, heat output drops and vibration weakens before the indicator shows low — this replacement restores both functions to full capacity.

  • Smart Goggles platform fit: The TB-TH-C cell is specific to this device's compact housing. The BMS handshake is tuned to the goggles' dual-load draw — heating elements and vibration motors running simultaneously pull current in a combined pattern that a generic cell often cannot sustain without voltage sag.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the TB-TH-C under simultaneous heat and vibration load. The BMS held stable across both draw profiles without triggering protection cutoff, and capacity registered at rated spec throughout the test cycle.
  • Charging port care after facial use: Sweat and skincare residue around the eye area wick into the USB port during storage. Wipe the port dry with a lint-free cloth before plugging in — residue bridging the contacts can trigger a BMS protection fault that blocks charging entirely.

Why heat output weakens before the battery indicator drops

The Smart Goggles run heating elements and vibration motors at the same time. Under that combined load, a degraded cell experiences voltage sag — the pack voltage dips below what the heating element needs, even though the fuel gauge still reads partial charge. The BMS reduces power to the heating circuit first to protect the cell, so warmth fades while the indicator stays lit. Replacing the cell removes the sag and restores consistent heat at the correct 3.7V nominal rail.

Goggles show fully charged but die within seconds of use

This is gauge drift — the BMS has lost accurate track of true cell capacity after months of shallow, partial top-off cycles. The fuel gauge reads 100% based on surface voltage, but usable capacity is severely reduced. You cannot fix this by charging longer; the cell needs replacement. Once the new TB-TH-C cell is installed, charge it to 4.2V in a single uninterrupted session to let the BMS calibrate the gauge correctly from the start.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Smart Goggles vibration feels weaker than it used to, but the battery still shows half charge — what's happening?

This is voltage sag under motor load. As the lithium-polymer cell degrades, its internal resistance rises and the pack voltage drops under the combined draw of the vibration motor and heating element — even when the gauge reads mid-charge. The BMS throttles motor output to protect the cell rather than triggering a full cutoff, so vibration fades gradually and heat may feel uneven. Replacing the TB-TH-C cell resolves this; after fitting the new cell, confirm it reaches 4.2V on a full charge before first use.

The goggles stopped charging after I used them with a damp face — the charger light doesn't come on at all. Is it the battery or the port?

Moisture from facial skin or product residue can bridge the USB charging contacts and trigger the BMS moisture-protection fault, which shuts down the charge circuit entirely. Let the goggles sit in a dry environment for at least 24 hours with nothing plugged in, then inspect the port for residue and clean it with a dry toothbrush before reconnecting the charger. If the charge light still won't activate after the port is fully dry and clean, the fault has latched inside the BMS and the TB-TH-C cell needs replacement to reset it.

The goggles get noticeably warm on the outside during a session — is that the battery overheating?

Heat during a session is normal to a point — the heating elements are doing their job — but the battery also discharges under load inside a compact, sealed housing with no active ventilation. If the outer shell feels hot rather than warm, the cell is likely degraded and working harder than it should to maintain output, generating more heat per unit of charge delivered. A healthy TB-TH-C cell at rated 1800mAh capacity runs the heating and vibration load without the housing getting uncomfortably hot. Check whether the heat is concentrated near the nose bridge where the cell sits; if so, replace the cell.
