Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Therabody Theragun G5 Pro / G4 Pro — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (TB-RA4-01)
This is an 11.1V 2600mAh lithium-ion battery that replaces part number TB-RA4-01 in the Theragun G5 Pro and Theragun G4 Pro percussive massage devices. It fits the swappable battery slot on both models and runs the same BMS handshake as the original cell pack. Capacity is 2600mAh (28.86Wh) — matching the factory spec.
- G5 Pro and G4 Pro compatibility: Both models use the same 11.1V battery rail, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS communication protocol. One replacement part covers both devices without any adapter or modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery in a G5 Pro unit under motor load across all five speed settings. The BMS held voltage within spec at peak draw and tripped the protection circuit correctly at the low-cell threshold — no false cutoffs under normal use.
- Port hygiene after percussive use: The G5 Pro is frequently used during or after exercise. Sweat contact on the battery terminals can cause resistance buildup that the BMS reads as a connection fault. Wipe the battery contacts and device bay with a dry cloth before reinserting — do not use alcohol directly on the gold contact pads.
Motor power dropping before the battery indicator hits low on the G5 Pro
The G5 Pro motor draws sharp current spikes at higher speed settings, especially on setting 4 and 5. An aged or partially degraded cell pack can't sustain the voltage under that load — so the motor slows or stutters while the indicator still shows two or three bars. This is voltage sag under load, not a gauge error. A new cell pack with full internal resistance spec restores stable voltage delivery across all five speeds.
G5 Pro shows solid charge light but won't power on after sitting unused
If a Theragun battery sits dormant for several weeks, the cells can drop below the BMS re-engagement threshold — typically around 2.5V per cell for an 11.1V (3S) pack. The charger light may illuminate because the dock detects a connection, not because charging is actively occurring. Plug the battery into the charging dock and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the BMS needs time to trickle-charge the cells back above the 9V pack-level floor before it will allow a full charge cycle or power-on.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Theragun G5 Pro slows down noticeably on the higher speed settings even with a charged battery — what's happening?
High speed settings on the G5 Pro pull sharp current spikes that a degraded cell pack can't sustain without voltage sag. The motor loses torque mid-stroke because internal resistance in the old cells is too high to hold the voltage rail stable under load. The battery indicator can still show partial charge while this is happening — the gauge reads resting voltage, not load voltage. Replacing the cell pack resolves the sag; if the new battery shows the same behaviour, check that the battery bay contacts are clean and fully seated.
The G5 Pro stopped charging after I used it in a humid environment — the dock light comes on but nothing happens. Is the battery dead?
Moisture bridging the battery or dock contacts can trigger a BMS protection fault that blocks the charge circuit entirely. The dock light activates on physical contact, so it doesn't confirm that charge current is actually flowing. Remove the battery, dry all contact surfaces with a dry cloth, and let the battery and dock air out for at least an hour before reconnecting. If charging resumes, the BMS cleared the fault on its own — if it doesn't, the protection latch may need a reset cycle via a full discharge attempt down to the BMS cutoff voltage.
My Theragun G4 Pro battery fades much faster than it used to even though I charge it every day — is daily charging damaging it?
Frequent top-up charging without ever fully discharging the pack causes capacity gauge drift in the G4 Pro's BMS — the cell monitor loses track of the true empty point and starts cutting off early. The battery cells also experience more shallow-cycle stress, which accelerates capacity fade compared to deeper, less frequent cycles. Run the device down to automatic shutoff at least once every 20–30 charge cycles to let the BMS recalibrate its state-of-charge window. If capacity has already faded significantly, a replacement pack at full 2600mAh will restore output — the gauge drift resets once the BMS pairs with a fresh cell pack.
