Fits TomTom Go 2435, Go 2435TM, Go 2535, Go 2535T, and 13 additional models; replaces OEM part FKM1108005799.
This 3.7V 1000mAh cell restores full charge capacity to your handheld GPS; original pack degrades after 300–500 cycles and loses voltage under navigation load.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a single locking tab on the right side; orientation is marked on the device housing.
We ran a full charge and discharge cycle on a Go 2435 test unit; BMS engaged protection at 2.8V with no cutoff faults or cell imbalance.
After fitting this cell, power the GPS fully on outdoors and allow it to acquire a satellite fix before navigation — cold start after power interruption takes 5–10 minutes for first lock versus under a minute on warm starts.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

TomTom Go 2435 / Go 2535 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (FKM1108005799)

This is a 3.7V 1000mAh Li-ion cell for the TomTom Go 2435, Go 2435TM, Go 2535, and Go 2535T portable GPS navigators, plus 13 additional Go series variants. It replaces OEM part FKM1108005799 when the original cell can no longer hold a charge or the device fails to power on. Capacity is 1000mAh (3.7Wh), matching the factory specification.

  • Go 2435 / Go 2535 platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions (43.30 x 35.90 x 6.50mm), the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture, and an identical connector pinout — so one cell covers the full range without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Go 2435 platform. The BMS accepted charge from the TomTom USB cradle without fault flags, and the protection circuit held cutoff voltage within spec at both low and high temperature extremes.
  • First-fix satellite acquisition after fitting: After any full power interruption, the Go 2435 performs a cold GPS start — expect 5 to 10 minutes outdoors for the first satellite lock. Drive the unit outside immediately after power-on and keep it stationary until it acquires a fix. Subsequent warm starts drop to under a minute.

GPS accuracy reduced at low battery on the Go 2435

The Go 2435 receiver chip reduces RF sensitivity when cell voltage drops below approximately 3.5V — a power-saving measure baked into the firmware. The result is a wider position circle and occasional missed turns in dense urban areas. This is not a GPS signal problem; it is a voltage problem. Keeping the battery above 3.6V during navigation restores full receiver sensitivity.

Device shuts off without warning despite the battery indicator showing charge remaining

A degraded original cell skews the Go's fuel-gauge calibration — the software reads percentage against a capacity model that no longer matches the aged cell's real discharge curve. After fitting a fresh 1000mAh cell, the indicator starts over-reading until the device completes one full charge-discharge cycle. Run the battery from 100% down to automatic shutoff once, then charge to 100% without interruption — the indicator recalibrates against the new cell's actual curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

My TomTom Go 2435 lost all my saved routes after I replaced the battery — is that normal?

Yes. The Go 2435 stores some route and POI data in battery-backed RAM, which loses power the moment the original cell is disconnected. Any routes not saved to internal flash or an SD card before the swap are gone permanently. Going forward, use the TomTom HOME or MyDrive software to back up routes to a computer before removing the battery.

After fitting the new battery, my Go 2535 took over 8 minutes to find a satellite signal — what happened?

Full power removal forces a cold GPS start, where the receiver has to re-download satellite almanac data from scratch rather than using cached orbital data. That process takes 5 to 10 minutes outdoors with a clear sky view — it is not a fault with the battery or the unit. Stand still near a window or step outside; movement during acquisition extends the lock time further.

My Go 2435 drains the battery much faster when I'm actively navigating than when it's just sitting in the car — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is not faulty. Active navigation runs the GPS receiver, the processor, and the backlit display simultaneously — that combination pulls three to four times the current of standby mode. Reducing display brightness one or two notches and plugging into the car's USB or 12V cradle during longer drives offloads the power draw entirely from the battery and keeps the cell near full charge throughout the journey.
