Fits Toshiba E700, E740, E750, and E750 WiFi Pocket PCs using original Toshiba part number PA3187U-1BRS.
This 3.7V 1200mAh lithium-polymer cell restores full boot and runtime capacity to aging Windows Mobile handhelds.
Connector and locking tab match OEM slot orientation — installs without modification or adapter hardware required.
We bench-tested this cell in an E750 unit; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes or early cutoff.
Perform a full data sync to your host computer before removing the old battery — PDA RAM loses power immediately upon cell removal, erasing unsaved application state and open files.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Toshiba E700 / E740 / E750 Series — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PA3187U-1BRS)

This 3.7V 1200mAh lithium-polymer cell replaces the OEM PA3187U-1BRS battery in the Toshiba e700 series Pocket PC. It fits the e700, e740, e750, and e750 Wifi handheld PDAs — Windows Mobile devices used for email, contacts, calendar, and third-party applications. Voltage and capacity match the original spec exactly.

  • e700 / e740 / e750 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol across the series. A single cell covers all variants without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through the e750 charge controller and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell, balanced correctly, and held voltage across a full discharge cycle without premature cutoff.
  • RAM retention before swap: Sync all open data to a host computer before removing the old battery. The e700 series stores active application state and unsaved files in volatile SRAM powered directly by the main cell — a full power loss clears that memory entirely.

Why the e700 loses all open data when the battery is removed

The e700 series has no internal flash buffer for application state. Open files, calendar entries, and app data live in SRAM, which requires continuous battery power to retain its contents. The moment main battery voltage drops to zero during a swap, that memory is erased. A backup capacitor on some units buys seconds — not enough for a cold swap without prior sync. Always perform a full ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center sync before pulling the cell.

e700 stuck on black screen after new battery installed

A freshly installed replacement cell may have shipped at a low state of charge — sometimes below the 3.3V minimum the boot ROM requires to initialise hardware. The device will show nothing on screen and appear dead. Connect it to the OEM charger or a compatible 5V USB cradle for at least 20 minutes before pressing the power button. If the screen still does not respond after charging, perform a hard reset using the recessed reset pin on the underside of the unit.

Frequently Asked Questions

My e750 lost all my contacts and calendar entries after I put the new battery in — is the battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The e700 series stores contacts, calendar, and open app data in SRAM, which requires live battery voltage to retain its contents. When the old cell was removed, voltage dropped to zero and that memory cleared — this is normal hardware behaviour, not a defect. Before any future swap, run a full ActiveSync or Windows Mobile Device Center sync to push data to the host PC first.

The e700 won't boot after installing this battery — it just shows a blank screen.

The cell likely arrived below the minimum voltage the boot ROM needs to start — typically around 3.3V. Do not keep pressing the power button. Connect the device to its charging cradle or OEM adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. If it still does not respond, use the reset pin on the underside of the unit to force a hardware reset, then allow it to charge again before booting.

Wireless sync keeps dropping on the e750 Wifi even with the new battery fitted — was it better with the old cell?

The 802.11b radio in the e750 Wifi is voltage-sensitive and draws a sharp current spike when transmitting. If the new battery is not at a full charge, voltage can sag under that load and cause the radio to drop mid-transfer. Charge the device fully — until the charge indicator goes solid — before attempting a wireless sync. If drops continue at full charge, move the device closer to the access point to reduce transmit power demand.
