Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Toshiba Satellite U925t / U920t — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PA5073U-1BRS)
This 11.1V 3200mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original PA5073U-1BRS cell in the Toshiba Satellite U925t and U920t ultrabooks. It also covers the U920T-109 variant and related U920 series models. Capacity is 35.52Wh — matching the stock specification for these thin-chassis units.
- Satellite U920t / U925t platform fit: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The 212.10 × 116.90 × 5.30 mm cell profile fits the ultra-slim chassis without modification. PABAS267 and P000563900 are Toshiba's alternate part numbers for the same cell — all covered here.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the U925t. The BMS communicated correctly with the EC, reported accurate state-of-charge, and accepted a full charge without tripping any protection flags.
- Post-swap calibration on the U925t: After fitting this cell, run the laptop down to hibernate cutoff — do not force-shutdown — then charge uninterrupted to 100% without using the machine. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears on the first boot after any cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting a new cell
The U925t stores historical charge data in EEPROM on the embedded controller. When you swap the cell, the EC still holds cycle count and health metrics from the old battery. The new cell has no matching EEPROM history, so the BIOS flags it as degraded. Running one full discharge-to-hibernate followed by an uninterrupted charge forces the EC to rewrite its baseline data against the new chemistry. After two to three full cycles, reported health should normalise to 95–100%.
Fuel gauge reading stuck or jumping wildly in the first few days
The fuel gauge IC on the U925t estimates charge state by tracking voltage curves it learned from the original cell. A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different discharge curve, so early readings can swing — showing 60% then jumping to 85% within minutes under light load. This is a calibration gap, not a faulty cell. Three full discharge-to-hibernate and full-charge cycles give the IC enough data to lock onto the new cell's actual voltage curve. After those cycles, gauge accuracy should settle within ±5% at mid-charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Satellite U925t shuts off completely when the gauge shows 25% — why does it keep dying early?
The Li-Polymer cell in the U925t hits a voltage cliff under combined CPU and display load — the cell voltage collapses faster than the fuel gauge updates, so the laptop sees a sudden undervoltage and cuts power before the gauge reaches zero. This is common with a partially discharged or aged cell that cannot hold voltage under peak draw. Fit the new cell, then run the calibration cycle: discharge fully to hibernate cutoff, charge uninterrupted to 100%. That resets the EC's voltage-to-capacity map and pushes the shutdown point back to its correct threshold near 5–8%.
Windows and Toshiba Power Saver both show this new battery as 0% or "unknown" — is the battery dead?
No — the OS fuel gauge and Toshiba's power management software are reading stale EEPROM data from the old cell, not the new one. The embedded controller has not yet built a profile for the replacement cell's charge characteristics, so it returns a null or zero value to the OS. Plug in AC power and leave the laptop charging uninterrupted to 100%, then unplug and let it discharge fully to hibernate. After one complete cycle, the EC writes a new baseline and the OS will report a real percentage.
System information shows this battery as 28Wh or a different Wh rating — is the wrong cell in the box?
The Wh figure shown in Device Manager or HWiNFO64 is pulled from the EEPROM on the old cell's data record, not measured from the new one. The PA5073U-1BRS cell is rated at 35.52Wh — that is the correct figure. The discrepancy appears because Windows caches the previous battery's EEPROM-reported design capacity until the EC overwrites it. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate cycle followed by a complete charge; after that cycle the reported Wh value should update to reflect the actual cell capacity.
