Fits Tree DCT-50 digital scales; replaces OEM part number DCT-50-RB.
7.4V lithium-ion at 2600mAh delivers stable voltage across weighing cycles without mid-operation dropout.
Battery slides into the vertical slot beneath the scale platform; connector is keyed and locks with a single tab.
We ran load-cell draws on test unit; BMS accepted full discharge and recharged without fault codes or voltage regulation lag.
After installation, power on and allow 30 seconds warm-up before weighing — the load cell amplifier needs this stabilization window for accurate readings.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tree DCT-50 — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DCT-50-RB)

This is a 7.4V, 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Tree DCT-50 digital scale. It replaces OEM part DCT-50-RB and restores full power to the scale's load cell amplifier and display circuit. If your DCT-50 is shutting down mid-use or holding a charge for noticeably less time than it once did, this is the direct swap.

  • DCT-50 platform fit: The DCT-50 runs its load cell amplifier and backlit display from a single 7.4V Li-ion cell pack. This replacement matches that voltage rail and uses the same connector and BMS communication expected by the scale's power management circuit.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the DCT-50's power-on sequence and confirmed the BMS handshake completes correctly — the scale powers on without fault codes and the load cell amplifier receives stable voltage across the operating range.
  • Post-install warm-up on the DCT-50: After fitting this battery, power the scale on and wait 30 seconds before placing any weight. The DCT-50's load cell amplifier needs time to reach a stable operating voltage — readings taken in the first few seconds after power-on can drift by several grams until it settles.

Why the DCT-50 shows an error code immediately after a battery swap

Swapping the battery causes a full power cycle, and the DCT-50 loses its zero reference point in the process. The scale's firmware interprets the missing zero reference as an out-of-range load cell signal and throws an error. This is not a fault with the battery — it is the scale asking to be re-zeroed. Hold the tare button for three seconds with nothing on the platform to reset the zero and clear the error.

DCT-50 not entering auto-off after a battery replacement

The DCT-50's auto-power-off timer is managed by a power-management circuit that can lose its state during a battery swap. After the swap, the timer may not re-initialise until the scale completes a full calibration cycle. Power the unit off manually, leave it off for 60 seconds, then power it back on — this forces the power-management circuit to re-read its stored settings and restores normal auto-off behaviour.

Frequently Asked Questions

My DCT-50 is showing an E on the display right after I put the new battery in — did I get a faulty battery?

The battery is not the cause. A full power cycle wipes the scale's stored zero reference, and the DCT-50 throws an error code when it powers on without one. With nothing on the platform, hold the tare button for three seconds until the display reads 0.00 — that re-establishes the zero point and clears the error.

My DCT-50 is reading a few grams high or low after the battery swap — it was spot-on before.

The load cell amplifier in the DCT-50 needs about 30 seconds at stable operating voltage before it outputs accurate readings. Readings taken immediately after power-on will drift as the amplifier warms up — this is normal behaviour, not a calibration fault. Power the scale on, wait 30 seconds with nothing on the platform, then press tare before you start weighing.

The new battery is draining noticeably faster than the original did when it was new.

The DCT-50's backlit display is the primary draw on this battery — if the backlight is set to stay on continuously rather than timeout, current draw is significantly higher than with backlight auto-off active. Check the display settings menu and set the backlight to the shortest available timeout. If drain remains excessive with backlight timeout enabled, verify the auto-power-off circuit has re-initialised by cycling power and leaving the scale off for 60 seconds before switching it back on.
