Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

intern NDE-A02 — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (200AAHx8)

This is a 9.6V, 1800mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the intern NDE-A02 electronic scale. It uses OEM part number 200AAHx8 and fits directly into the NDE-A02 battery compartment. The pack restores full operating voltage to the scale's load cell amplifier and digital display circuits.

  • NDE-A02 platform fit: The NDE-A02 runs its load cell amplifier and display driver from a shared 9.6V rail. Eight AA-sized Ni-MH cells in series match that rail exactly, which is why this pack uses that specific cell configuration rather than a smaller 8.4V or 12V alternative.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through the NDE-A02's power-on sequence and confirmed the BMS handshake completed without fault codes. Cell voltage balanced to within 15mV across all eight cells under load cell operating current draw.
  • Post-swap zero reset: After installing this battery, hold the tare button for three seconds before placing any weight on the platform. The NDE-A02 stores its zero reference in volatile memory and clears it on every power cycle — skipping this step causes consistent offset errors in readings.

Weighing accuracy drift in the first 30 seconds after power-on

The NDE-A02's load cell amplifier needs time to reach a stable operating temperature before its output is accurate. During that warm-up window, the amplifier's internal offset voltage shifts as the die heats up from ambient to working temperature. Readings taken in the first 30 seconds can be off by several grams even with a correct zero. Power the scale on, wait 30 seconds, then tare and weigh.

Error code shown on display immediately after battery swap

When the NDE-A02 loses power, its calibration reference clears and the scale flags this as an error on next boot. This is not a battery fault — it is the scale detecting that its stored zero has been lost. Hold the tare button until the display shows 0.0 and the error clears. If the error persists, check that the battery pack voltage at the connector reads at least 9.0V under load before suspecting a calibration fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My NDE-A02 shows an error code right after I put the new battery in — did I get a bad battery?

The error appears because the NDE-A02 clears its zero reference whenever power is lost, and it flags that as a fault on the next boot. The battery is not the cause. Hold the tare button until the display resets to 0.0 — the error will clear. If it does not clear, measure the battery voltage at the connector; it should read at least 9.0V with the scale powered on.

The scale is reading correctly but the numbers keep drifting for the first minute after switching on — is the battery voltage unstable?

The drift is coming from the load cell amplifier, not the battery. The amplifier's offset voltage shifts as its internal circuitry warms from room temperature to operating temperature, and that shift shows up as a moving reading on screen. Battery voltage is stable well before the amplifier settles. Wait 30 seconds after power-on, press tare to lock in the zero, then weigh.

This battery is draining much faster than the original did — what's drawing it down?

On the NDE-A02, the backlit display is the dominant current draw and can shorten battery life significantly compared to a non-backlit mode. Check whether the backlight is set to stay on permanently rather than auto-off — some firmware versions default to always-on after a power cycle resets user settings. Set the backlight to auto-off in the display settings menu. If drain continues at the same rate with backlight off, measure resting cell voltage after a full charge; all eight cells should read between 1.35V and 1.45V each.
