Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Trifo MAX-P / MAX-S — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (P2051-4S1P-ZM)
This is a 14.4V 5200mAh (74.88Wh) lithium-ion battery pack for the Trifo MAX-P and MAX-S robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces OEM part number P2051-4S1P-ZM directly. The pack powers the drive motors, suction motor, and onboard navigation hardware.
- MAX-P and MAX-S compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one pack covers both. Swapping between these two units is straightforward — the cell fits the same bay and communicates with the same charge management circuit.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on the MAX-P platform. The BMS correctly reported state-of-charge to the vacuum's onboard controller, and the protection circuits tripped at expected overcurrent thresholds during simulated blockage events.
- Dock charging habit for the MAX-P: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the dock between cleaning sessions indefinitely. Continuous trickle charging through the dock accelerates capacity fade in lithium cells at this voltage. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next use.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
The MAX-P's suction motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked. That elevated draw causes the cell voltage to sag under load, even when the pack still reads mid-charge on the indicator. The vacuum's controller interprets the voltage sag as a near-depleted pack and throttles motor power. Clean or replace the filter first — if the problem persists with a clean filter, the original cell has lost capacity and the voltage sag is happening at true mid-charge.
Motor cutting out mid-run then recovering after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a power-off event. When the suction path is restricted — blocked brush roll, clogged filter, or debris in the inlet — the motor pulls sustained current above the pack's protection threshold. The BMS disconnects the output to protect the cells, then resets after a short cool-down. Clear the obstruction, check the brush roll for hair wrap, and confirm the filter is seated correctly. If trips continue on a clean machine, verify the replacement pack voltage reads at least 16.0V off the charger before reinstalling.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Trifo MAX-P loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery light still shows plenty of charge — what's happening?
A partially blocked filter forces the suction motor to draw more current than rated, which causes the cell voltage to sag under load even at mid-charge. The vacuum reads that sag as low power and reduces motor speed to protect the pack. Remove and clean or replace the filter — this single fix resolves the symptom in the majority of cases. If suction still drops on a clean filter, the original battery cell has degraded and voltage sag is occurring at genuine mid-capacity.
The MAX-P motor cuts out for a few seconds then starts again on its own — is this a battery fault or a vacuum fault?
That self-recovering cutout is the battery BMS tripping on overcurrent, not a vacuum board failure. It happens when the suction path is restricted enough that the motor pulls sustained current above the pack's protection limit — the BMS disconnects output and resets after a brief cool-down period. Check the brush roll for hair wrap and clear any blockage in the inlet channel. If the new pack still trips on a clean machine, confirm the replacement battery reads at least 16.0V off the charger before fitting.
Will leaving the Trifo MAX-P on the charging dock between uses damage the new battery?
Continuous dock contact keeps the charger topping the pack through a trickle current, and lithium cells held near full charge at float voltage degrade faster than cells cycled normally. We measured measurable capacity loss in packs left on continuous dock charge compared to those removed after a full charge. Charge the MAX-P to full, then lift it off the dock and store it on a flat surface until the next cleaning session. This one habit extends the usable life of the replacement pack considerably.
