Fits Venture Heat ZMCB2200 and MC-1645 heated jackets, vests, and gloves; replaces OEM part 1122B.
11.1V 2600mAh lithium-ion delivers 28.86Wh — enough for extended heating cycles on mid and low settings.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a positive locking tab; orientation matters on insertion.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained high-heat draw; cutoff triggered at 3.0V as designed.
Start on lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes on a new battery — heating elements draw peak current at maximum and need a warm-up cycle before full-power operation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Venture Heat ZMCB2200 / MC-1645 — 11.1V Li-ion Replacement Battery (1122B)

This is an 11.1V 2600mAh Li-ion replacement battery for Venture Heat heated clothing, fitting the ZMCB2200 and MC-1645 models. It restores heating function to jackets, vests, and gloves that have lost capacity after repeated charge cycles. Voltage and connector match the OEM 1122B spec.

  • ZMCB2200 and MC-1645 compatibility: Both models use the same 11.1V three-cell configuration and share an identical connector and BMS communication protocol, which is why one battery serves both garment platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through all three heat settings and monitored BMS response. The protection circuit handled sustained current draw on the highest setting without tripping, and cell balance stayed within spec across full discharge.
  • First-use heat setting protocol: Start on the lowest heat setting for the first 10 minutes on a new battery. The heating elements pull significant current at maximum, and a short warm-up period before full-power operation lets the cells stabilise from their storage state.

Heated jacket not reaching full heat level on a new battery

Li-ion cells ship in a partial charge state, typically 40–60% capacity. At that charge level, the pack voltage may sit below the threshold the controller needs to activate the highest heat setting. A full charge cycle before first use brings the pack to the 12.6V peak the controller expects. Once fully charged, the highest setting should activate without issue.

Heating element cutting out mid-use on maximum setting

The BMS has an overcurrent protection threshold. On maximum heat, the elements draw sustained high current, and if the cells are cold — below 5°C — internal resistance rises sharply, pushing the draw past the BMS trip point. The controller cuts power to protect the cells, not because the battery is faulty. Keep the battery pack tucked against your body rather than in an exposed outer pocket, and the cutouts will stop.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Venture Heat jacket shows the highest heat setting is selected but the elements feel barely warm — why?

The controller needs the pack at or near full voltage (12.6V) to deliver full power to the heating elements. If the battery just arrived or has been sitting unused, it won't be at full charge and the highest setting is starved of current. Charge the pack completely before testing the maximum heat level — a full charge resolves this in most cases.

The battery drains noticeably faster when I run the jacket on high versus low — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong — this is normal Li-ion behaviour under load. The highest heat setting draws approximately three to four times more current than the lowest setting, so capacity depletes much faster. Cold air temperatures compound this: Li-ion cells lose usable capacity below freezing as internal resistance increases. Keeping the battery pack against your body instead of exposed to outside air recovers a meaningful portion of that lost capacity.

My Venture Heat battery won't take a charge after being stored for several months — what do I do?

Extended storage allows Li-ion cells to self-discharge below the BMS re-activation threshold, around 2.5V per cell. At that voltage, the protection circuit locks out the charger as a safety measure. Connect the charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes without disconnecting — many chargers apply a low trickle current that slowly brings the pack back above the BMS threshold, after which normal charging resumes. If the charger indicator never changes from the initial state after 90 minutes, the cells have dropped too low to recover.
