Fits SAMBA XR210 cordless vacuum; replaces OEM battery for XR210 model restoration.
14.4V and 3000mAh capacity deliver sufficient power for household cleaning cycles on this stick vacuum platform.
Battery slides into the XR210 dock with a standard connector tab; orientation is marked on the housing.
We bench-tested this Ni-MH cell against the XR210 charger dock—full acceptance with no BMS faults on first cycle.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously; Ni-MH cells on permanent trickle charge lose capacity faster than those charged only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SAMBA XR210 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V Ni-MH battery rated at 3000mAh (43.2Wh), built to replace the original pack in the SAMBA XR210 cordless vacuum cleaner. It fits directly into the XR210 and restores the power the motor needs to maintain suction across carpet and hard floors. No OEM part number is listed for this model — match by fit model XR210 before ordering.

  • XR210 compatibility: The XR210 runs a 14.4V motor rail with a Ni-MH chemistry requirement. Swapping to an incompatible chemistry or voltage causes the BMS to fault or the charger to reject the pack entirely. This battery matches the original voltage and cell chemistry so the charger handshake completes correctly.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through discharge under a sustained motor-equivalent load and monitored BMS cutoff behaviour. Cutoff triggered cleanly at the low-voltage threshold with no false trips during normal draw.
  • Dock charging on the XR210: Do not leave the XR210 sitting on the charging dock between uses. Ni-MH cells on continuous trickle charge lose capacity significantly faster than cells charged only when depleted. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the XR210

Ni-MH cells show voltage sag under high motor draw before the pack is actually depleted. On the XR210, this appears as weakening suction — especially on carpet — while the indicator still shows charge remaining. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull harder, which worsens the sag. Clear the filter first; if sag persists with a clean filter, the cell pack itself has degraded and needs replacing.

XR210 motor cutting out and then recovering mid-clean

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or a sealed floor nozzle — the motor draws above its rated current and the BMS shuts the output to protect the cells. Power returns once the BMS resets, typically within a few seconds. Inspect and clear the filter and brush roll; if the motor still trips on an unblocked machine, check that the pack voltage reads at least 14.4V fully charged before suspecting a fault in the vacuum itself.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does my SAMBA XR210 lose suction strength even though the battery indicator isn't showing low?

Ni-MH packs sag in voltage under sustained motor load before they're actually empty — the indicator doesn't track this sag, it tracks remaining charge. On the XR210 this shows up as weak suction on carpet while the display still looks fine. Check and clear the filter first; a restricted airflow makes motor draw spike and worsens the sag. If suction is still weak with a clean filter and fresh charge, the original pack has degraded and the cells can no longer hold voltage under load.

My SAMBA XR210 keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on — what's causing it?

The BMS is tripping on overcurrent, not a flat battery. When the brush roll or filter is partially blocked, the motor pulls more current than the BMS allows and it cuts the output to protect the cells. Power returns once the BMS resets. Clear the filter and brush roll completely, then run the vacuum on a hard floor with no obstruction — if it still cuts out, verify the fully charged pack reads at least 14.4V at the terminals before assuming a motor fault.

The replacement battery for my XR210 isn't charging — the charger just sits there with no indicator light.

Ni-MH chargers on the XR210 expect the cell voltage to sit within a specific acceptance window before they begin the charge cycle. If the pack has self-discharged deeply during storage, the resting voltage may be too low for the charger to recognise it. Connect the pack to the charger and leave it for 30 minutes — some chargers enter a slow recovery mode before switching to normal charge. If no activity begins after 30 minutes, measure the pack voltage directly; a reading below 10V indicates the cells have discharged past recovery threshold.
