When suction is restricted — blocked filter, clogged brush roll, or a sealed floor nozzle — the motor draws above its rated current and the BMS shuts the output to protect the cells. Power returns once the BMS resets, typically within a few seconds. Inspect and clear the filter and brush roll; if the motor still trips on an unblocked machine, check that the pack voltage reads at least 14.4V fully charged before suspecting a fault in the vacuum itself.
