Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo iQOO Z3 / V2073A — 3.87V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-Q1)
This is a 3.87V, 4300mAh (16.64Wh) Li-Polymer cell for the Vivo iQOO Z3 smartphone (model V2073A). It replaces OEM part number B-Q1 and fits the original battery bay without modification. If your iQOO Z3 drains fast, shuts down unexpectedly, or won't hold a charge, this cell restores full function.
- iQOO Z3 and V2073A compatibility: Both model designations use the same B-Q1 cell, share the same connector pinout, and draw from the same charge IC. The BMS handshake is identical across both variants, so no firmware or hardware difference affects fitment.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the iQOO Z3 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without error flags, charge IC stepped through trickle, CC, and CV phases cleanly, and the fuel gauge IC tracked state-of-charge without erratic jumps after the first full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes amps into an uncalibrated gauge.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
A new cell has a discharge curve the fuel gauge IC has never seen before. When the phone hits a load spike — 5G modem handoff, screen at full brightness, or a background sync — the cell voltage drops sharply under load, even though the gauge still reads 25%. The protection circuit reads this as a undervoltage event and cuts power before the gauge catches up. One full slow-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new curve. After that cycle, the shutdowns stop because the gauge is now tracking actual cell voltage accurately.
USB-PD fast charge not triggering on the first cycle after installation
After a cell swap, the charge IC on the iQOO Z3 often starts in trickle mode and does not negotiate the fast-charge protocol on the first plug-in. This is because the BMS reports an unverified cell state on first contact, and the charge IC defaults to a conservative current floor. Unplug the cable, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect — this resets the charge IC handshake. If fast charging still does not engage, complete one full standard charge cycle first; the IC will accept the fast-charge protocol once the cell reaches a verified state-of-charge above 3.6V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My iQOO Z3 shows 25% battery and then shuts off completely — is that a faulty replacement cell?
This is a fuel gauge calibration issue, not a defective cell. The coulomb counter in the iQOO Z3 was calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, and the new cell hits a voltage cliff under load — modem or screen spikes — that the gauge doesn't anticipate. Run one full discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% at standard speed without fast charging enabled. After that cycle the gauge tracks the new curve and the cutoffs stop.
The battery percentage on my iQOO Z3 keeps jumping around after I put in the new cell — is the replacement defective?
The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating, not reporting a hardware fault. The coulomb counter lost its reference point when the old cell was removed and is now estimating state-of-charge without a verified baseline. Complete one full uninterrupted charge to 100% followed by a full discharge to shutdown, then charge again to 100%. That two-leg cycle gives the IC enough data to lock in accurate readings, and the erratic percentage jumps settle out.
My iQOO Z3 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage — how do I recover it?
If the cell discharged below 2.5V in storage, the BMS enters lockout mode and the phone will not respond to a power button press. Connect the phone to the original Vivo charger — not a USB hub or laptop port — and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell above the 2.5V threshold before the BMS releases lockout and allows normal boot. Once the screen shows a charging indicator, the BMS has cleared and the phone will power on normally.
