Fits Vivo X6, X6D, X6D Dual SIM TD-LTE, and X6A — replaces OEM part number B-91.
Rated 3.8V, 2400mAh — supplies stable voltage to processor, display, and modem under sustained load.
Micro-USB connector seats flush into the battery slot with no locking tab required for retention.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion and steady voltage hold under discharge simulation.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo X6 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-91)

This is a 3.8V, 2400mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo X6, X6D, X6D Dual SIM TD-LTE, X6A, and compatible variants. It replaces the original B-91 cell when the existing battery has degraded through repeated charge cycles or no longer holds charge. Capacity figure is drawn from product data: 2400mAh (9.12Wh).

  • X6 series cell compatibility: The X6, X6D, and X6A share the same 3.8V voltage rail, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol, which is why one B-91 cell spans all these variants. Swapping to a different voltage or connector spec will cause BMS rejection or a boot loop.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on X6-series hardware. The BMS accepted the new cell without fault flags, and the protection circuit engaged correctly at both the low-voltage cutoff and high-voltage ceiling.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC build an accurate discharge curve against the new cell before high-current charging pushes power into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

After a cell swap, the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded cell. The new cell has a steeper voltage cliff under modem or display load than the IC expects, so it reports 25% remaining right up until the cell voltage collapses under load. The phone cuts out because the actual cell voltage drops below the BMS floor even though the percentage counter hasn't caught up. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to remap to the new cell and eliminates these phantom shutdowns.

USB fast charge not working on the first cycle after replacement

Vivo's charge IC performs a handshake with the BMS on the first charge after a cell change. If the BMS returns unexpected impedance readings — common when a new high-impedance cell is installed cold — the IC defaults to standard 5V/1A charging as a safety measure. This is not a fault with the battery or charger. Fully discharge the phone to automatic shutdown once, then charge uninterrupted to 100% using the original Vivo adapter, and the charge IC will accept the fast-charge protocol on the next session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my Vivo X6 showing the wrong battery percentage after fitting the B-91 replacement?

The fuel gauge IC calibrated its discharge model against the old cell's specific voltage curve. A new cell has a different curve, so the percentage readout drifts — often showing full for too long, then dropping fast. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100%. After that cycle, the coulomb counter remaps to the new cell and percentage accuracy returns.

My Vivo X6 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is something wrong?

A fresh Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, and the extra energy dissipates as heat during the first few sessions. This is normal and reduces after two or three full cycles as the cell's impedance settles. If warmth persists past the third charge or the phone becomes hot to the touch, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean.

My Vivo X6 won't power on at all after the B-91 sat in storage — how do I recover it?

If a Li-Polymer cell discharges below approximately 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode to prevent charging a critically depleted cell. Connect the phone to the original Vivo charger and leave it for 15–20 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the charging indicator appears on screen, the BMS has exited lockout and normal charging resumes.
