Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logicom L-ITE 502 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (P5015)
This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh Li-Polymer cell replacing the factory battery in the Logicom L-ITE 502 smartphone. It matches the OEM part number P5015 and fits the phone's battery bay directly. Capacity and voltage figures come from product data, not estimates.
- L-ITE 502 fitment: The L-ITE 502 uses a fixed 3.8V single-cell Li-Polymer architecture. This replacement matches that voltage rail and the physical footprint — 73.60 × 57.70 × 3.90 mm — so the connector seats without forcing.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench. The BMS accepted handshake from the phone's charge IC without flagging an error, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff as expected.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: On first use after fitting, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% uninterrupted. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a clean reference curve against the new cell before it starts compensating for load.
Why the L-ITE 502 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The L-ITE 502 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge state using a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the reported percentage drifts — often reading 80% when the cell is closer to 50%. The IC needs at least one full uninterrupted discharge-charge cycle to recalibrate its coulomb counter against the new cell. Until that cycle completes, percentage readouts will be inaccurate. Run the phone down to auto-shutdown and charge straight to 100% without interruption to lock in the corrected curve.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the fuel gauge IC is still running on the old cell's voltage curve and the reported percentage doesn't match actual cell voltage. The modem or screen draws a short burst of current, the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold before the OS can respond, and the phone cuts off hard. It's not a faulty cell — it's a calibration mismatch. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging enabled, and the fuel gauge will remap its voltage cliff to the correct point on the new cell's curve, typically resolving the shutdown above 3.5V.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?
A Li-Polymer cell stored unused can drop below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. The phone won't power on from this state because the BMS blocks current flow until the cell is trickle-charged back above the recovery threshold. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 30–45 minutes without pressing the power button. Once the cell climbs above approximately 3.0V, the BMS will release and the phone should boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted this battery — the phone only charges slowly now.
The charge IC on the L-ITE 502 re-negotiates the charging protocol with each new battery session. On the first cycle with a replacement cell, the BMS may not immediately accept the higher-current handshake, so the phone defaults to standard charging rates as a safety fallback. Run one complete standard charge to 100%, then disconnect and restart the phone before plugging back in. This resets the charge IC negotiation and fast charging typically resumes from the second cycle onward.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — it reads 60%, then drops to 35% in a few minutes with light use.
The fuel gauge IC is still referencing the discharge curve of the original degraded cell, which no longer matches the new cell's voltage-to-capacity relationship. As the new cell moves through its discharge range, the IC misreads the voltage steps and jumps the displayed percentage accordingly. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single calibration cycle, erratic percentage jumps should settle as the coulomb counter locks onto the correct curve for the new 2000mAh cell.
