Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Wiko View Prime / Upulse Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP17J18)
This is a 3.85V, 2900mAh (11.17Wh) lithium-polymer cell for the Wiko View Prime, Upulse, Upulse Lite, and Wim Lite smartphones. It replaces OEM parts TLP17J18, TPN17E24, TLJ17G29, and 396272 on a direct swap. Fit these four models share the same battery bay geometry, connector orientation, and fuel gauge IC protocol.
- View Prime / Upulse platform compatibility: All four models run the same 3.85V power rail, use an identical 74.54 × 61.56 × 3.74mm cell footprint, and communicate with the same fuel gauge IC over the same bus. One cell covers the full range without any connector or BMS mismatch.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through a full charge cycle on a View Prime unit. The BMS accepted the charge handshake on the first connection, the fuel gauge IC reported state-of-charge without error flags, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard rate. The fuel gauge IC on the View Prime calibrates its coulomb counter against the cell's actual discharge curve — skipping this step leaves the IC reading against the old cell profile and causes early percentage jumps.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Wiko View Prime after a cell swap
This is a voltage-cliff issue, not a capacity problem. When the modem transmits or the screen runs at full brightness, current draw spikes sharply. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, it reports 25% remaining while the actual cell voltage has already dropped below the safe operating threshold. The phone shuts off to protect the BMS — not because the new cell is faulty. One full slow discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and eliminates the false floor. After that cycle, percentage readings should track actual voltage within ±3%.
USB fast charging not recognised after fitting the replacement cell
On the first charge cycle, the charge IC on the View Prime negotiates current delivery based on cell impedance readings. A new cell has higher impedance than a worn one, and the IC can respond by falling back to standard 5V charging rather than accepting the fast-charge handshake. This is not a fault — it clears after the first full cycle as the IC re-profiles the cell. If fast charging still does not engage after two full cycles, check the cable and charger can negotiate the correct protocol by testing with a known-good USB-PD source.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Wiko View Prime shut off at around 25% after fitting this battery?
The fuel gauge IC is still reading the old cell's discharge curve, so it reports 25% while the actual voltage has already dropped below the cutoff threshold under modem or screen load. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% at standard rate without fast charging enabled. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter against the new cell's actual curve. After the cycle, the shutdown floor should not appear above 5–8%.
The phone doesn't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in storage before installation — how do I recover it?
If the cell discharged below 2.5V during storage, the BMS enters lockout mode and will not pass current to the phone. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. A wall charger delivers enough trickle current to bring the cell above the BMS recovery threshold. Once the charge IC detects voltage above approximately 3.0V, the BMS releases lockout and the phone will power on normally.
The battery percentage is jumping around erratically — showing 60%, then 45%, then back to 55% within minutes. Is the new cell defective?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC on the View Prime uses a coulomb counter calibrated to the previous cell's charge and discharge characteristics. After a cell swap, the IC has no accurate reference curve, so it estimates state-of-charge inconsistently under varying loads. Complete one full uninterrupted discharge cycle — screen on, no charging, down to automatic shutdown — then charge to 100% at standard rate. The IC recalibrates during that cycle and erratic percentage swings stop.
