Alcatel 1X Series — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLP024C7)

This 3.85V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the OEM TLP024C7 cell in the Alcatel 1X, 1X LTE, 1X Dual SIM, and 1X Dual SIM LTE. It fits the same physical footprint at 70.90 × 56.90 × 3.54mm and uses the same connector pinout as the original. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a usable charge.

• 1X model line compatibility: All variants listed share the same battery bay dimensions, voltage rail, and BMS communication protocol. The TLP024C7 part number spans the single-SIM and dual-SIM configurations because the charge IC and connector are identical across the range.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the 1X platform and confirmed the BMS accepted the new cell without triggering a fault state. Charge IC handshake completed normally and the protection circuit responded correctly to over-discharge and over-voltage thresholds.
• Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Alcatel 1X after a cell swap

The Alcatel 1X uses a coulomb counter in the fuel gauge IC that was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile, so the reported state-of-charge diverges from the actual cell voltage under load. When the modem fires during a call or the screen peaks in brightness, the real cell voltage drops below the protection threshold before the OS has any warning. The BMS cuts power to prevent damage, and the phone shuts down even though the gauge still reads 25%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve.

Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells in long-term storage self-discharge. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks normal power-on to prevent charging a deeply discharged cell at full current. Plugging in a charger may show no response at all — no charging LED, no boot screen. Apply a known-good 5V USB charger and leave it connected for 15–20 minutes without attempting to power on. The BMS recovery circuit trickle-charges the cell back above the lockout threshold, after which normal charging resumes. Once the cell reads above 3.0V, the phone will power on.
