Fits Xolo Q800 smartphone; replaces OEM part number BL-G021A.
3.7V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer cell delivers 8.51Wh to restore full device runtime.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with positive terminal facing upward.
We bench-cycled this pack three times; BMS accepted charge protocol without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle — this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging stresses an uncalibrated BMS.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Xolo Q800 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-G021A)

This is a 3.7V, 2300mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Xolo Q800 smartphone. It fits the Q800 directly and uses OEM part number BL-G021A as the reference match. Capacity is rated at 8.51Wh and dimensions are 71.50 × 58.53 × 4.60 mm.

  • Q800 fitment: The Q800 uses a removable Li-Polymer cell behind the rear cover. The BL-G021A form factor matches the battery bay dimensions and connector orientation. No modification is needed to seat this cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the Q800 platform. The BMS handshake completed normally and the charge IC accepted current without flagging errors.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging if your Q800 supports it and complete one full discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before the OS begins reporting percentage accurately.

Why the Q800 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Q800 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks charge by counting coulombs against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry. The IC will report percentages that drift high or low until it builds a new reference. One complete discharge to auto-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge corrects this — after that cycle, the reported percentage tracks the actual cell state accurately.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display pulls a current spike the cell cannot sustain at that state of charge, and voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold momentarily. It is not a defective cell — it is an uncalibrated fuel gauge cutting power at the wrong point. Run one full discharge cycle to let the IC establish the true low-voltage floor. If shutdown continues after two calibration cycles, measure resting cell voltage with a multimeter — it should read above 3.6V at 20% reported charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Xolo Q800 shuts off at around 25% battery — did I get a bad replacement cell?

Not necessarily. After a cell swap, the fuel gauge IC on the Q800 still references the old cell's discharge curve, so it miscalculates the voltage floor and triggers shutdown early. Run one complete discharge to auto-off followed by a full uninterrupted charge to force the IC to recalibrate. If the shutdowns persist past two full cycles, check resting cell voltage at the reported 25% mark — it should read above 3.6V.

The Q800 shows 100% charged but drops to 80% within minutes of unplugging — what's happening?

This is the fuel gauge IC overcounting charge on the first cycle because it has no accurate reference for the new cell's capacity curve. The coulomb counter fills to what it thinks is 100% before the cell is actually full, then corrects sharply once load is applied. One full discharge-to-shutdown and uninterrupted recharge gives the IC a real baseline. After that cycle the percentage drop from 100% should stabilise.

The Q800 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage and can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage. The phone won't power on because the BMS blocks output at that voltage. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC will trickle current into the cell to recover it out of lockout. Once the cell reaches roughly 3.0V, the BMS releases and the phone will boot normally.
