Fits Fly IQ446 and Elegance 2 smartphones; replaces OEM part BL-G021A battery.
3.7V, 2300mAh lithium-polymer cell delivers full power for calling, messaging, and app use.
Connector slides into the internal battery slot with positive terminal facing the device contact plate.
We bench-tested this pack on IQ446 hardware; BMS accepted charge current without fault codes or thermal lag.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fly IQ446 / Elegance 2 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BL-G021A)

This is a 3.7V, 2300mAh lithium-polymer cell replacing the OEM BL-G021A battery in the Fly IQ446 and Elegance 2 smartphones. It fits the internal bay directly and connects via the original flex connector. Capacity is 8.51Wh — matching the stock specification.

  • IQ446 and Elegance 2 compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The BL-G021A reference covers both variants — no hardware modification needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on an IQ446 unit. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the charge IC stepped through CC/CV phases normally with no thermal interruption.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Fly IQ446 after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. A fresh Li-Polymer cell has a steeper voltage drop at lower states of charge than a worn cell. The phone's modem and display draw a combined spike that pushes the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically 3.0V — before the fuel gauge reaches zero. It looks like the battery drained instantly, but the cell simply cannot sustain voltage under that momentary load. One full discharge-charge cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter and shifts the OS shutdown curve to match the new cell's actual voltage profile.

Phone won't power on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the replacement cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell during storage, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent damage. The phone appears completely dead — no boot, no charge indicator. Connect the phone to a low-current USB source (500mA wall adapter, not a fast charger) and leave it for 20–30 minutes. Once the BMS detects sufficient voltage recovery, it re-initialises and normal charging resumes — confirm with a stable charge indicator on screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Fly IQ446 shuts off at around 25% battery — is this a faulty cell?

Not necessarily a faulty cell. A new Li-Polymer cell has a sharper voltage drop at low states of charge than the worn cell the phone was calibrated against. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage dips below the BMS cutoff before the OS gauge reaches zero — it reads as a sudden shutdown. Run one full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the fuel gauge IC will recalibrate its cutoff point against the new cell's actual discharge curve.

The battery percentage on my IQ446 keeps jumping around after I fitted the new cell — sometimes it reads 60%, then skips to 45% without any use.

The fuel gauge IC on the IQ446 stores a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. A new cell with different internal resistance shifts the voltage readings the IC uses to estimate state of charge, causing it to report erratic percentages. This is a calibration gap, not a hardware fault. Complete two full discharge-to-charge cycles — no partial top-ups — and the coulomb counter will rebuild its model against the BL-G021A cell's actual behaviour.

My IQ446 feels warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell — should I be concerned?

Mild warmth on the first one or two charge cycles is normal with a new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell. The charge IC applies the same current it used on the broken-in original cell, but a fresh cell's higher internal resistance converts slightly more energy to heat until it conditions through the first cycles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or charging stops and restarts repeatedly, remove it from the charger and check that the battery flex connector is fully seated — a partial connection raises contact resistance and increases heat significantly.
