Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE T8 / Tureis / C310 / C311 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3711T42P3h513857)
This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the ZTE T8 and compatible models including the Tureis, C310, and C311. It uses OEM part number Li3711T42P3h513857 and slots directly into the same battery bay as the original. Voltage and physical dimensions (51 × 37 × 5.50mm) match the stock specification.
- T8 / Tureis / C310 / C311 platform: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — all running off the same 3.7V single-cell Li-ion architecture. One cell fits all four without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran full charge and load cycles on this cell and confirmed the BMS communicates correctly with the charge IC — no false low-battery flags, no premature cutoff under typical screen and modem load.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.
Why the ZTE T8 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The T8's fuel gauge IC builds a charge model around the original cell's impedance and discharge curve over time. When a new cell goes in, that model is stale — the IC is still referencing the old cell's behaviour. This causes the percentage displayed to drift from the actual state of charge. One full discharge down to auto-shutdown followed by a complete charge to 100% forces the coulomb counter to reset and remap against the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity problem. Under peak modem transmit or screen-on load, the new cell briefly drops below the BMS low-voltage threshold even though the reported percentage looks safe. The BMS trips and cuts power to protect the cell. To confirm, charge to 100%, run the phone normally, and note the exact percentage at shutdown — if it repeats at the same point, the fuel gauge IC needs a full recalibration cycle to map the actual voltage curve of the new cell. One complete discharge-to-shutdown and full recharge typically resolves it.

Frequently Asked Questions
The phone feels warm near the battery while charging after I put the new cell in — is something wrong?
A new high-impedance cell draws more resistance across the charge IC contacts on the first few cycles, which generates more heat than a worn-in cell. This is normal for the first two or three charges and fades as the cell's internal impedance drops with use. If the phone stays hot past the third full charge cycle, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partially connected cell forces the charge IC to work harder. Full contact on the connector is the fix.
The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat unused in storage for a few months — how do I recover it?
A Li-ion cell stored depleted can drop below 2.5V per cell, which triggers a BMS lockout to prevent damage. The BMS will refuse to allow normal charging from that state. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it connected for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC on most ZTE models trickle-charges a locked-out cell at low current to bring it above the 2.5V recovery threshold before resuming normal charge. If the screen shows nothing after 30 minutes on a wall adapter, try a different cable before assuming the cell is unrecoverable.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery — the phone only charges slowly now?
On the first cycle after a cell replacement, the phone's USB negotiation stack sometimes defaults to standard 5V charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet completed a handshake with the charge IC. This is a one-cycle issue in most cases. Let the phone complete one full slow charge to 100%, then unplug and restart the device before reconnecting the charger — the proprietary charge protocol should re-negotiate correctly on the second cycle. If fast charge still doesn't resume, confirm the charger output is at least 5V/2A, as the T8's fast charge threshold won't activate below that.
