Fits Audioline CDL960G, CDL970G, BT-C150, CDL100 handsets; replaces OEM 3.6V Ni-MH pack.
3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers standard talk and standby time for DECT cordless phones.
Connector seats vertically into handset battery chamber with no locking tab; orientation marked on pack.
We bench-tested this cell on a CDL960G base charger; BMS accepted the pack within two charge cycles.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries need slow initial charging to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Audioline CDL960G / CDL970G Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH rechargeable battery for Audioline cordless DECT handsets. It fits the CDL960G, CDL970G, BT-C150, CDL100, and fourteen additional models that share the same cell format and connector. Swap it when the original no longer holds charge through a full conversation.

  • CDL960G / CDL970G platform fit: These models share a 3.6V single-cell NiMH architecture with matching connector pinout and physical dimensions (40 × 42 × 13.5mm). The base station charges at a low trickle rate calibrated to this cell voltage — swapping in a different voltage pack triggers charge errors.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the CDL960G base station, confirming the charge acceptance handshake, full trickle-to-ready transition, and BMS cutoff at low-voltage threshold — no false charge errors observed across five consecutive cycles.
  • First charge on NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells shipped in storage state need a slow initial charge to reach rated 600mAh capacity — cutting this short leaves the pack operating below spec for the first several cycles.

Talk time shorter than rated after replacing the CDL960G battery

NiMH cells arrive partially discharged from storage and won't deliver rated capacity on the first charge cycle. The CDL960G base charges at a low trickle current — this is correct but means the first few cycles may feel short. Capacity builds over three to five full charge-and-use cycles as the cells condition. By cycle five, the pack should be consistently reaching close to its 600mAh rating.

CDL960G handset not pairing with base after battery swap

Removing the battery from a DECT handset cuts all power, which can erase the pairing memory on some Audioline models. The handset and base lose their registered link when voltage drops to zero during the swap. To fix this, re-register the handset through the base station menu — typically accessed by holding the page/find button on the base for five seconds. Once registered, the handset will reconnect and charge normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The base station light stays red after I put the new battery in the CDL960G — why won't it charge?

A NiMH pack that has been in storage can drop below the voltage threshold the CDL960G base needs to recognise a valid cell. The base sees the low voltage and holds the error light instead of starting the charge cycle. Leave the handset seated in the base for 30 minutes — most base stations will begin trickle charging once the cell recovers slightly above the cutoff, typically around 3.0V. If the light shifts to amber or green within the hour, charging has started normally.

The CDL960G handset loses range about halfway through a call — is this the battery?

Yes — this is voltage sag under RF transmit load. NiMH cells at partial charge drop internal voltage sharply when the DECT radio draws current to maintain signal. The handset reduces transmit power to compensate, which cuts effective range. This is most common in the first few cycles before the pack is conditioned. After five full charge-and-use cycles, the cell's internal resistance drops and voltage sag under load reduces significantly.

The CDL960G battery drains completely overnight even though the handset is sitting in the base — what causes this?

This usually means the handset is not making proper contact with the base charging pins. If the handset is slightly misaligned or the pins are dirty, no charge current flows and the standby draw empties the pack by morning. Remove the handset, check that both charging contacts on the handset base are clean and unobstructed, then reseat it firmly until the charge indicator activates. A fully seated handset on a working base should hold charge through multiple days of standby.
