Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer beTouch E130 / E140 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (HH08P)
This 3.7V, 1700mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Acer beTouch E130, beTouch E130 B, beTouch E140, and compatible variants. It matches OEM part numbers HH08P and BT.0010S.002. If your beTouch E130 no longer holds a charge or fails to power on, this cell restores normal operation.
- beTouch E130 / E140 platform fit: Both handsets share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.7V nominal voltage rail, so one cell covers the entire group. The BMS communicates over the same two-wire thermistor line used on both boards.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the E130 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC stepped through trickle, constant-current, and constant-voltage phases cleanly.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first install: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-charge cycle before normal use. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated state.
Why the beTouch E130 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The beTouch E130 uses a fuel gauge IC that tracks capacity using a coulomb counter seeded from the previous cell's discharge curve. When you fit a new cell, the IC still references old calibration data, so the percentage shown can be 10–20% off actual state of charge. The fix is one complete discharge-charge cycle without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference points against the new cell and percentage accuracy returns to normal.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the modem or display draws a current spike the cell cannot sustain at that state of charge, causing voltage to dip below the BMS cutoff threshold — typically 3.0V per cell — even though the gauge still shows charge remaining. It is common on the first few cycles of a new cell before the electrodes are fully conditioned. Run two or three full cycles at moderate load and the voltage sag at that charge level will reduce. If shutdowns continue past five cycles, check that the battery connector pins are fully seated and making clean contact.

Frequently Asked Questions
The beTouch E130 won't turn on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what's wrong?
A Li-ion cell stored uncharged for an extended period can drop below 2.5V, which triggers the BMS into a lockout state to prevent damage. The phone won't respond because the BMS is blocking current to the board entirely. Connect the phone to a low-current charger — a standard 5V USB wall adapter, not a fast charger — and leave it for 30–60 minutes without attempting to power it on. Once the cell recovers above 3.0V, the BMS releases the lockout and the phone will boot normally.
Fast charging stopped working after I fitted this battery — the phone just trickle charges now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the beTouch E130 often defaults to trickle or standard charging rates because it does not yet trust the thermal and voltage profile of the new cell. This is normal behaviour, not a fault. Run one full standard charge-discharge cycle and the charge IC will accept higher current on subsequent cycles. If fast charging still does not resume after two full cycles, confirm the charger output matches the original spec — the E130 charge IC will reject a protocol mismatch and stay in slow-charge mode.
The battery percentage on my beTouch E130 keeps jumping — it reads 45%, then skips to 60%, then drops back down.
Erratic percentage jumps point to the fuel gauge IC recalibrating in real time against a cell it has not yet characterised. The coulomb counter is filling gaps in its model by correcting against open-circuit voltage readings, which causes visible jumps. This resolves itself after one or two uninterrupted full discharge-charge cycles — discharge until the phone shuts off on its own, then charge to 100% without unplugging early. After two such cycles, the fuel gauge IC has enough data to track the new cell curve accurately and the jumping stops.
