Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Liquid Z4 / Z140 / Z160 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT-611)
This is a 3.7V, 1250mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Acer Liquid Z4, Z140, and Z160 smartphones. OEM part numbers BAT-611 and KT.0010B.006 both apply to this cell. It slots directly into the rear battery compartment and powers the processor, display, and all wireless functions.
- Z4 / Z140 / Z160 platform fit: These three models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three. The 64.85 × 49.45 × 4.45mm form factor matches the original chassis tolerances without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full charge and discharge sequence on the Liquid Z4. The BMS accepted the cell on first connection, voltage sat at 3.7V nominal under screen-on load, and the charge IC completed a clean taper cycle without tripping a protection flag.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell — skipping this step causes erratic percentage readings from the first charge onward.
Why the Liquid Z4 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap
The Liquid Z4 uses a coulomb-counter-based fuel gauge IC that holds calibration data from the original cell's charge curve. When a new cell goes in, the IC is still referencing the old curve — so reported percentage drifts away from actual state of charge almost immediately. The fix is one full discharge to near-empty followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% at standard rate, no fast charging. After that cycle, the IC re-anchors its empty and full reference points to the new cell. Expect the percentage display to stabilise from the second cycle onward.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell
This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under combined modem and display load — a voltage cliff the fuel gauge didn't predict because it hasn't completed a calibration cycle. The phone's protection circuit trips the shutdown before the display reads zero. It is not a faulty battery. Run the device down to automatic shutoff once, then charge fully to 100% without interruption. After that, the fuel gauge has a real low-voltage anchor and the shutdowns stop.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Acer Liquid Z4 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?
The BMS locks out when cell voltage drops below roughly 2.5V during storage, cutting all output to protect the cell from irreversible damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold, after which the phone boots normally. If the charge LED doesn't respond after 40 minutes, check the charging cable and adapter with a known-good device first.
Fast charging stopped working after I swapped the battery on my Liquid Z4 — the phone just charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes falls back to standard rate because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet completed a handshake with the phone's charging protocol. This is not a fault. Run one full standard-rate charge to 100%, then discharge normally to below 20% and plug back in — fast charging typically resumes from the second cycle once the BMS and charge IC have completed that initial negotiation.
The Liquid Z4 feels noticeably warm near the battery while charging with the new cell — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat during the constant-current phase of charging than a broken-in cell does. Some warmth in the first two to three cycles is expected and not a sign of a fault. If the phone becomes hot to the touch or the charge IC throttles current and charging slows dramatically, remove the case to improve airflow and ensure the phone is not sitting on an insulating surface. Warmth should reduce to normal levels after the cell's internal impedance drops across the first few charge cycles.
