Fits Pantech Vega N6 and IM-A860 variants, replacing OEM part BAT-7500M.
3.7V and 2500mAh capacity matches the original cell's output to the modem and display circuit.
Connector is a standard two-pin JST type with a single locking tab on the housing frame.
We ran discharge cycles on a lab Vega N6 — BMS accepted the cell without fault codes and held voltage clean under screen-on load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Pantech Vega N6 / IM-A860 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT-7500M)

This is a 3.7V, 2500mAh Li-ion cell replacing OEM part BAT-7500M in the Pantech Vega N6 smartphone. It fits the IM-A860, IM-A860L, and IM-A860S variants. Dimensions are 83.05 × 57.00 × 4.85mm — measure your original before installing.

  • IM-A860 variant compatibility: The IM-A860, IM-A860L, and IM-A860S share the same physical footprint, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements. All three accept BAT-7500M without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the IM-A860 platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without throwing charge faults, and voltage held stable under display and modem load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle. The Vega N6 fuel gauge IC calibrates its coulomb counter against the discharge curve of the installed cell. Running a slow first cycle gives the IC accurate data before high-current charging begins.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Vega N6 after a cell swap

The Vega N6 fuel gauge IC builds its state-of-charge map from the previous cell's discharge curve. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage under load. The modem and display draw peaks can pull the cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold while the OS still shows 20–30% remaining. One full slow discharge-charge cycle resets the coulomb counter and aligns the fuel gauge to the new cell. After that cycle, shutdowns at false-low percentages typically stop.

Phone stays on the boot screen and won't fully start after storage

If the battery sat discharged for an extended period, the cell voltage may have dropped below 2.5V — the threshold where the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage. The phone draws just enough current to light the screen but cannot sustain the load needed to complete the boot sequence. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes before attempting to power on. The charger bypasses the BMS lockout with a trickle current, recovering the cell to a level where normal charging resumes — typically around 3.0V.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Vega N6 percentage jumps around after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with it?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC on the IM-A860 was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original battery, and the new cell has a slightly different curve. Run one complete slow discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. That single cycle resets the coulomb counter and the jumping stops.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in after replacing the battery — why?

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the Vega N6 charge IC can reject the proprietary fast-charge handshake while the BMS on the new cell initialises. Unplug, wait 30 seconds, then reconnect using the original Pantech charger. If fast charging still does not engage after a full slow charge cycle, check that the charger output matches the required input — the IM-A860 expects the correct voltage negotiation from the charger, not a generic USB supply.

The phone feels warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is this normal?

A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the first few charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. This is normal for the first two to three cycles as internal resistance drops. If the phone becomes hot enough to be uncomfortable to hold, or if charging stops before 100%, disconnect and let it cool to room temperature before resuming. After three full cycles, charging temperature on the IM-A860 should return to the same level you saw with the original cell.
