Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GIONEE L601 / L600 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BL-G003)
This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion battery for the GIONEE L601, L600, V180, and TD100 smartphones. It replaces OEM parts BL-G003, BL-L600, and BL-L601. Use the capacity figure from this listing — 1500mAh — not third-party sources.
- L601 / L600 / V180 / TD100 compatibility: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them uses the same cell format at 69.75 × 38.40 × 7.00mm, so one part number covers the group.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the L601. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake without fault flags, held voltage above 3.5V through the mid-cycle load, and tripped protection correctly at the low-voltage threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. The fuel gauge IC on these phones calibrates its coulomb counter against the cell's discharge curve — skipping this step causes percentage drift on the new cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the GIONEE L601
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity fault. When the modem or screen pulls a high current burst, a new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge can't accurately report the real state of charge. The phone's protection circuit reads a voltage drop that looks like empty, and shuts down. One full discharge-charge cycle lets the fuel gauge IC map the actual discharge curve of the replacement cell, which moves the cutoff threshold back to the correct point near 3.2V.
Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge over time. If this battery shipped or sat unused long enough to drop below 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charging to prevent thermal runaway on a deeply discharged cell. Connect the phone to a low-current charger — a 5V/500mA USB port works better here than a fast charger — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The BMS recovery circuit trickle-charges the cell back above the 2.8V threshold before allowing a normal charge cycle to begin.

Frequently Asked Questions
My GIONEE L601 shows 25% battery and then just switches off without warning — is the new cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. This is a voltage cliff: under the sudden current load of the modem or display, the cell voltage drops sharply and the phone's protection circuit interprets it as empty. The fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. Run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — after that single cycle the coulomb counter resets to the new cell's curve and the cutoff shifts back to the correct voltage near 3.2V.
The battery percentage on my L601 is jumping around erratically after fitting the replacement — it read 60%, then 80%, then 45% within a few minutes.
The fuel gauge IC stores the discharge profile of your old cell in its memory. When a new cell goes in, the stored curve no longer matches actual cell behaviour, so the percentage calculation produces random-looking output. This settles after one full calibration cycle: drain the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge to 100% in a single uninterrupted session with fast charging disabled. The IC overwrites the old profile and percentage readings stabilise.
Fast charging stopped working on my GIONEE L601 right after I put in the new battery — the phone just charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on some GIONEE models falls back to standard 5V charging because the BMS on the new cell hasn't yet passed the handshake that authorises higher charge current. This is a one-cycle safety behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full charge at the slow rate, unplug, and reconnect — the charge IC renegotiates the protocol with the now-initialised BMS and fast charging resumes at the normal current level.
