Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alcatel OT-7024 / One Touch 7024 Series — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (TLp018B2)
This 3.8V, 1800mAh (6.84Wh) lithium-polymer cell replaces the original TLp018B2 in the Alcatel OT-7024, OT-7024W, One Touch 7024, and One Touch 7024W. It fits the same pocket in the rear housing and connects to the same three-pin flex connector. Cross-compatible OEM references include TLp018B1, TLp018B4, and CAC1800008C2.
- OT-7024 and 7024W platform fit: Both variants share the same PCB layout, battery bay dimensions (56.53 × 56.60 × 4.21mm), and BMS handshake protocol. One cell fits both without any modification to the housing or connector.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through full charge and load cycles on the OT-7024 platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on the first cycle, thermal response stayed within normal range, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable any fast-charge mode and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the OT-7024 after a cell swap
The OT-7024 uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge that was calibrated to the original cell's internal resistance profile. A new cell has a different resistance curve, so the gauge underestimates remaining capacity and triggers a low-voltage shutdown before the display reads zero. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage briefly dips below the system's cutoff threshold even when the gauge shows charge remaining. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve. After that cycle, the reported percentage will track actual voltage accurately.
OT-7024 not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage
Li-polymer cells self-discharge during storage, and if the cell voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS will have entered lockout mode to prevent damage. The phone will show nothing on screen — no charge indicator, no vibration. Connect the phone to a wall charger (not a PC port) and leave it undisturbed for 15–20 minutes. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell at a safe rate until voltage rises above the BMS re-enable threshold, at which point normal charging resumes. If the screen still shows no response after 30 minutes on a wall charger, check that the flex connector is fully seated.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Alcatel OT-7024 shows 25% battery and then just shuts off — is the new cell faulty?
It's not a faulty cell. The fuel gauge IC on the OT-7024 was calibrated to the original battery's internal resistance, and the new cell has a different discharge curve. Under modem or display load, the cell voltage briefly dips below the system cutoff threshold even though the gauge still shows charge. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the coulomb counter against the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.
The battery percentage on my OT-7024 keeps jumping around after I fitted the replacement — it went from 60% to 45% without me doing anything.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a hardware fault. The coulomb counter is still using the old cell's discharge map, so any load spike — screen-on, data sync, incoming call — causes it to recalculate and land on a different number. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge to 100% on a wall adapter resets the reference curve. After that cycle the percentage should track steadily.
My OT-7024 won't turn on at all after the new battery arrived and I installed it — screen is completely dead.
If the replacement cell sat in a warehouse or shipping chain for several months, its voltage may have dropped below the BMS lockout threshold of approximately 2.5V. The phone will give no response — no boot logo, no charge animation. Plug it directly into a wall charger and leave it untouched for 20–30 minutes. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until the BMS re-enables, at which point the charging indicator will appear and normal charging resumes.
