The Slimline's battery indicator maps percentage to specific voltage thresholds calibrated for the original cell's discharge curve. This is a display calibration issue, not a fault with the cell. Run two to three full charge and discharge cycles through the camera body, and the indicator will track more accurately as the BMS learns the new cell's curve.

During continuous video, the Slimline X8 draws on the sensor, image processor, and display simultaneously — well above the current load of still shooting. This combined draw generates heat in both the cell and the camera body. If the body feels uncomfortably warm, pause recording for 60 to 90 seconds to allow the processor and cell to recover. Keep the battery above 3.5V under load — at that threshold the camera's protection circuit will shut down to prevent cell damage.
