Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rollei RCP-7325XS / X-8 Sports / XS-8 / XS-10 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DS5370)
This 3.7V, 660mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original DS5370 battery in the Rollei RCP-7325XS and related compact camera models including the X-8 Sports, XS-8, and XS-10. It restores power to photo and video capture functions when the original cell has degraded. Capacity is 2.44Wh — identical to OEM spec.
- RCP-7325XS / X-8 / XS series fit: These models share the same DS5370 cell format — same voltage rail, same contact orientation, and the same slim 5.90mm cell depth. One cell covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on a Rollei-compatible body. The BMS accepted the cell without rejection flags, and voltage held stable across the full discharge curve.
- First-install charge cycle on Rollei compact bodies: Insert the new cell and run one full charge cycle through the OEM charger or camera body before shooting. Some Rollei compact BMS systems need this cycle to calibrate the battery-remaining indicator — skipping it can cause the display to read inaccurately from the first shot.
Dead battery indicator showing on a freshly charged DS5370 replacement
Rollei compact bodies map battery-remaining percentage against a learned discharge curve from the previous cell. A new DS5370 cell has a slightly different resting voltage profile, so the camera can misread state-of-charge on first use. The indicator may jump to empty even when the cell is at 4.1V or above. One full charge-discharge cycle inside the camera body resets the threshold mapping and brings the indicator back in line.
Battery percentage jumping erratically mid-shoot
This usually appears when the camera body is reading voltage-drop events under flash or continuous AF load as a hard capacity drop. The DS5370 cell's 660mAh capacity means short high-current draws — flash recharge, autofocus motors, image stabilisation — pull a measurable voltage sag. The BMS interprets that sag as a lower state of charge and updates the indicator accordingly. Let the cell rest at idle for 10–15 seconds and the display will correct itself; if it does not, the cell may be sitting below 3.6V and needs a full recharge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rollei RCP-7325XS is showing a "no battery" warning after I installed the new DS5370 cell — what's causing it?
The RCP-7325XS runs a quick BMS authentication check on first cell insertion, and a new cell at partial charge can fail that check. Power the camera off completely, remove the cell for 30 seconds, reinsert it, and charge to full via the OEM charger before powering on again. One full charge cycle is usually enough for the body to accept the cell and clear the warning. If the warning persists after a full charge, confirm the cell is seated flush — the 5.90mm slim form factor can misalign if the door isn't fully latched.
Shot count on my Rollei compact seems much lower than it should be with the replacement cell — is something wrong?
Shot count drops when flash, continuous AF, and image stabilisation are all active at once — each draw adds to total current beyond what the spec figure assumes. The DS5370's 660mAh capacity is the same as OEM, but real-world count varies with shooting mode. Switch to single-shot AF and disable stabilisation for static subjects to extend the charge. If count is still unexpectedly low after a full first-cycle charge, check that the battery-remaining indicator has been calibrated with one complete discharge before drawing conclusions.
The flash on my RCP-7325XS isn't fully recycling between shots on the new battery — takes noticeably longer than before.
Flash capacitor recharge draws a short burst of high current, and if the DS5370 cell is below roughly 3.7V, recharge time stretches noticeably. This is a voltage-sag issue, not a cell defect — it happens when the cell is running in the lower third of its charge. Top the cell up to full and test again; recycle time should return to normal. If slow recycling appears immediately after a full charge, check cell voltage directly with a multimeter — a healthy DS5370 at full charge reads between 4.10V and 4.20V.
