Fits Medion MD86276 digital camera, replaces OEM part number VG037612210001.
Voltage 3.7V, capacity 660mAh — adequate for standard shooting sessions on this compact camera body.
Connector type is proprietary Medion contact plate; insert with gold pins facing camera body socket.
We bench tested this cell in the MD86276 body; BMS accepted the pack on first charge cycle with no voltage errors.
On first insertion, allow one full charge cycle through the camera body charger before heavy shooting — the Medion BMS requires internal voltage mapping to display accurate remaining battery percentage.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Medion MD86276 / MD86350 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (VG037612210001)

This 3.7V 660mAh Li-ion cell fits the Medion MD86276 and MD86350 compact digital cameras, along with over 40 additional Medion models sharing the same battery bay. It replaces the original cell when the camera no longer holds a charge or powers on. Capacity is 660mAh (2.44Wh), matching the OEM specification.

  • MD86276 / MD86350 platform fit: These Medion compact cameras share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, battery footprint (40.00 × 31.10 × 5.90mm), and connector orientation. A cell that seats correctly in one will seat correctly in the others across this range.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Medion camera body and an external Li-ion charger. The BMS accepted the cell without a fault flag, and charge termination triggered cleanly at 4.2V on both paths.
  • First charge cycle on the Medion body: Before heavy shooting, run one full charge cycle from inside the camera body itself. Some Medion BMS implementations only calibrate the battery-remaining display after seeing a full in-body charge cycle — skipping this step can cause the indicator to read inaccurately from the start.

Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged replacement cell

Medion compact cameras map remaining charge to voltage thresholds tuned to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new third-party cell can sit at a slightly different resting voltage for the same state of charge. The camera reads that offset as a low or dead battery even when the cell is not depleted. Running one full in-body charge cycle recalibrates the threshold mapping so the indicator tracks accurately.

Flash not fully recycling between shots on a new cell

The flash capacitor draws a sharp recharge current after each burst. At 660mAh, this cell is working near capacity when the camera runs flash, LCD, and autofocus simultaneously. If recycle time lengthens noticeably between shots, the cell voltage is sagging under combined load — not a fault in the cell itself. Let the camera sit for two to three seconds between flash shots to allow voltage recovery, and confirm the cell is charged to at least 4.1V before a heavy shooting session.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Medion MD86276 shows "no battery" or refuses to power on with the new cell seated — what's happening?

This is a BMS authentication check on first install. The camera body sometimes rejects an unrecognised cell until it completes one charge handshake. Seat the cell, connect the camera to its OEM charger, and let it charge to full before attempting to power on. After that first charge cycle, the body accepts the cell and powers on normally.

The battery percentage on my Medion compact jumps around — it reads 80%, then drops to 20% within a few shots.

The camera's fuel gauge maps voltage steps to percentage values calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. A replacement cell with a slightly different curve hits those voltage thresholds at different points, causing the display to jump erratically. Run two full charge-and-discharge cycles through the camera body. After conditioning, the indicator stabilises because the BMS has seen enough of the new cell's curve to map it more accurately.

Why does the cell deplete faster when shooting in cold conditions — the camera dies well before a full indoor session would?

Li-ion cells lose available capacity as temperature drops because internal resistance rises, and the BMS hits its low-voltage cutoff sooner under the same load. At 660mAh, this cell has limited headroom when cold adds several hundred milliohms of internal resistance on top of normal draw. Keep a spare cell in a chest or jacket pocket to keep it at body temperature, and swap it in when the camera-body cell drops below usable voltage — the warmer spare will immediately deliver more of its rated capacity.
