Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Aligator A600 / A620 / A680 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V, 1300mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Aligator A600, A610, A620, and A680 smartphones. It matches the stock voltage rail and physical footprint at 60.00 × 43.80 × 4.50mm. Use this when the original cell no longer holds a charge or the phone shuts down unpredictably.
- A600 / A610 / A620 / A680 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal voltage, and connector orientation — one cell covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on compatible hardware. The BMS held cutoff at the correct low-voltage threshold and accepted charge current without tripping protection prematurely.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On the first cycle after installation, run the phone down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before use. This gives the fuel gauge IC a complete reference curve for the new cell — skipping this step is the main reason percentage readings jump erratically in the first few days.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on a freshly installed cell
The Aligator A600 series uses a coulomb-counter fuel gauge that was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile, so the gauge miscalculates the voltage cliff. When the modem fires up for a call or the screen peaks brightness, current draw spikes and the cell voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold — even though the gauge still reads 20–30%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge resets the reference points. After that cycle, shutdowns at high reported percentages stop.
Phone feels warm near the battery during the first few charges
A new Li-ion cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes current into higher resistance, and the heat generated is normal for the first two to three cycles. It should decrease noticeably by the third full charge. If the phone stays hot past five cycles or gets too hot to hold comfortably, check that the battery connector is seated flush — a partial connection raises contact resistance and amplifies heating.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Aligator A620 won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?
Probably not. Li-ion cells lose charge in storage, and if the voltage dropped below roughly 2.5V, the BMS locks out to prevent cell damage. Plug the phone into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs time to trickle current into a deeply discharged cell before the BMS releases and allows normal operation. If the charging indicator appears within an hour, the cell is recovering normally.
The battery percentage on my A600 jumps around — it shows 45%, then suddenly 61%, then drops to 30% without me doing anything. What's causing that?
The fuel gauge IC on the A600 is still using the discharge curve it mapped for the old cell. When it reads a voltage point that doesn't match its stored curve, it recalculates and jumps to a new percentage. Run one full cycle — discharge the phone to automatic shutdown, then charge straight to 100% without interrupting. That gives the coulomb counter a clean reference curve for the new cell, and the erratic jumping stops within one or two cycles after that.
Fast charging stopped working after I put in the replacement battery — the phone charges, but it's much slower than before. What happened?
On the first connection to a new cell, the phone's charge controller runs a handshake with the BMS to verify it's safe to apply high current. Some Aligator firmware versions default to standard charge rates until they confirm the new cell has completed at least one full cycle. Complete one full discharge-to-shutdown and a full uninterrupted charge at the slower rate. Fast charge typically re-engages automatically on the next session once the controller has logged a complete cycle with the new cell.
