Fits Alpina model 124563 cordless lawn mower; replaces OEM battery pack 25.2V.
25.2V, 6900mAh delivers sustained blade torque through dense grass without mid-cut voltage sag.
Slides onto Alpina's slide-mount connector with positive-pin engagement; locking tab seats flush left.
We ran full-discharge cycles on test mower; BMS held steady under blade load, no thermal trip.
Before first spring use, bring this pack indoors overnight if garage temperature drops below 10°C — cold cells spike motor inrush current and can trigger early BMS cutoff on thick grass.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Alpina 124563 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This 25.2V, 6900mAh Li-ion battery replaces the original pack on the Alpina 124563 cordless lawn mower. It slots into the same bay and connects to the same BMS handshake the charger expects. Voltage and cell count match the factory specification exactly.

  • 124563 platform fit: The 124563 mower runs a 25.2V (6S Li-ion) architecture. This pack matches that cell count and voltage rail, so the onboard BMS and charger communicate the same way they did with the original battery.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through full charge and simulated blade-load discharge. The BMS held protection thresholds at both the high-current inrush phase and the sustained draw phase without tripping or dropping the pack into fault mode.
  • Seasonal storage tip: If the mower has sat unused since last season, bring the battery indoors overnight before the first use. Below 10°C, Li-ion cells develop higher internal resistance. The blade motor's inrush current on startup can trip the BMS on a cold pack — warming it first prevents a false fault cutoff.

BMS cutoff under thick grass or wet-grass blade load

The 124563's blade motor pulls significantly more current through dense or wet grass than on a normal dry lawn. If that inrush spike exceeds the BMS overcurrent threshold, the pack cuts out mid-row as a protection response — not a battery fault. Let the mower sit for 30 seconds, then restart. To reduce trips, overlap rows less and mow wet grass at a slightly slower walking pace, which keeps sustained current draw below the BMS ceiling.

Charger not accepting the pack after winter storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge slowly in storage. If the 124563's battery sat in a cold garage all winter, individual cells may have dropped below the charger's minimum acceptance voltage — typically around 2.5V per cell. The charger reads the pack as too low to accept and shows a fault light. Some chargers have a recovery or trickle mode; plug in and wait 10–15 minutes before the charger steps up to full charge current. If the pack reaches 25.2V during that window, the charge cycle will complete normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Alpina 124563 cuts out halfway through a row and then starts again after a short pause — what's causing that?

This is thermal protection activating, not a faulty battery. Sustained high-load cutting — especially in thick or slightly damp grass — builds heat in the cells faster than airflow can dissipate it. The BMS shuts the pack down briefly to prevent cell damage, then resets once temperature drops. Allow a 5-minute cooldown between cuts when conditions are heavy, and the cutouts will stop.

The charger shows a fault light when I plug in the new battery for the first time — did I get a bad pack?

New packs ship at a partial state of charge for transport safety. If the charger's acceptance threshold is set conservatively, it may initially reject a pack sitting below 20V on arrival. Leave it plugged in without unplugging for 15 minutes — most Alpina chargers run a pre-charge trickle that brings cells up to acceptance voltage before switching to full current. If the light turns solid or green after that window, the pack is charging normally.

The battery feels noticeably warmer than my old one during the first few charges — is something wrong?

New cells generate slightly more heat during the first three to five charge-discharge cycles while the chemistry stabilises. This is normal cell conditioning, not a sign of internal damage. Surface temperature should stay well below 45°C to the touch. Run five full cycles — charge to complete termination, discharge through a full mow — and the heat output will settle to match what you saw with the original pack.
