Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KG / ZE500KL — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (0B200-01480200)
This 3.7V Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KG and ZE500KL. It carries 1800mAh (6.66Wh) and matches OEM part numbers 0B200-01480200, C11P1428, and B11P1428. Swap it when the original cell no longer holds voltage under screen or modem load.
- ZE500KG and ZE500KL compatibility: Both models run the same Snapdragon 410 voltage rail and share an identical connector pinout and BMS handshake — one cell covers both SKUs without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Zenfone 2 Laser charge IC and confirmed the BMS communicates state-of-charge data correctly to the OS fuel gauge from the first full charge cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This lets the fuel gauge IC map its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve before fast charging pushes higher current into an uncalibrated cell.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Zenfone 2 Laser after a cell swap
The Zenfone 2 Laser's fuel gauge IC inherits the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When a fresh cell is installed, the IC's stored curve no longer matches actual cell voltage, so the OS reads 25% state-of-charge while real voltage is already near 3.55V under modem transmit load. The phone shuts down because it hits the hardware low-voltage cutoff before the software counter reaches zero. One full discharge to shutdown followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100% lets the coulomb counter resync to the new cell and eliminates premature cutoff.
Battery percentage jumping erratically after replacement
Erratic percentage readings — jumping from 60% to 40% in seconds, or spiking back up without charging — come from the fuel gauge IC still referencing calibration data written by the worn cell. The IC's internal model no longer predicts cell voltage accurately, so reported percentage swings when load changes. Run two full discharge-charge cycles with the screen at moderate brightness and mobile data active; this forces the IC to rewrite its reference table. After the second cycle, readings stabilise and track actual cell voltage within a few percent.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Zenfone 2 Laser won't turn on after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — what's wrong?
A cell stored below 2.5V trips the BMS into lockout mode, and the phone will show no response at all — no boot logo, no charge indicator. Connect the phone to a wall charger using the original cable and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button; the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell before the BMS re-enables the discharge path. Once the battery recovers above 3.0V, the phone will power on normally. If there is still no response after 45 minutes on charge, check the connector is fully seated on the board.
The phone feels warm near the back cover while charging with the new battery — is that normal?
A fresh cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the constant-current phase of the first few cycles. This is normal for the first two to three full charges and reduces as the cell's impedance drops with cycling. Charge on a flat surface rather than a soft one so heat can dissipate away from the back cover. If the phone becomes uncomfortable to touch after the third full cycle, check that the charge IC contact pad on the battery is clean and making full contact.
Fast charging stopped working on my Zenfone 2 Laser after I fitted the new battery — now it only charges slowly.
The Zenfone 2 Laser uses Qualcomm Quick Charge negotiation, and the BMS on a new cell can reject the elevated voltage handshake on the first cycle as a safety measure while the cell is uncalibrated. Complete one full charge at standard speed — plug into a 5V/1A adapter, not a Quick Charge brick — and let it reach 100% without interruption. On the next charge attempt with a Quick Charge adapter, the BMS accepts the protocol once it has a baseline state-of-charge reading. If fast charging still does not activate after two cycles, confirm the adapter outputs at least 9V/1.67A on the Quick Charge profile.
