Fits AT&T Maven and Maven 4G smartphones, replaces OEM battery 2000mAh.
This 3.8V 2000mAh lithium-polymer cell restores talk time and standby duration on aged devices.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with locking tab on the lower edge.
We charged the pack on a standard 5V USB adapter; the BMS accepted current without throttle or fault.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell discharge curve before high-current charging stresses an uncalibrated cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

AT&T Maven / Maven 4G — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.8V, 2000mAh (7.6Wh) lithium-polymer cell built to fit the AT&T Maven and Maven 4G smartphones. It replaces the original battery when capacity has dropped, the phone shuts down unexpectedly, or the cell no longer holds a useful charge. Physical dimensions are 88.91 × 34.73 × 4.25mm — confirm these against your original before installing.

  • Maven and Maven 4G compatibility: Both variants share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and 3.8V nominal voltage rail. A single cell fits both without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge on a calibrated rig, confirming BMS cutoff behaviour at low-voltage threshold and stable voltage delivery under modem-load simulation across the full discharge curve.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This gives the phone's fuel gauge IC a complete reference curve against the new cell before it starts reporting reliable percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This is a voltage cliff problem, not a capacity problem. At 20–30% state-of-charge, the new cell's voltage drops under modem or screen load faster than the old degraded cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated to. The phone's power IC interprets the voltage sag as a critical low-battery event and triggers an immediate shutdown. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter reference and typically resolves the early cutoff.

Phone not powering on after the battery sat discharged in storage

Li-polymer cells that drop below approximately 2.5V per cell trigger a BMS lockout to prevent damage from deep discharge. If the Maven won't respond to the power button after sitting unused, connect it to a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS re-enable threshold, at which point the phone will begin a normal boot cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My AT&T Maven shows 25% battery and then just dies — why does this keep happening with the new cell?

The fuel gauge IC on the Maven was calibrated to the discharge curve of the original aged cell, not the new one. When the replacement cell's voltage drops sharply under load at low state-of-charge, the phone's power IC sees a critical undervoltage event and cuts out before the percentage reaches zero. Run one full uninterrupted discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption — this gives the coulomb counter a fresh reference curve and the early shutdowns typically stop.

The battery percentage on my Maven is jumping around randomly after I put in the new battery — is something wrong with the cell?

Nothing is wrong with the cell. The fuel gauge IC stores a learned model of the old battery's discharge behaviour, and the new cell's characteristics don't match it yet. The erratic readings are the IC attempting to reconcile incoming voltage data against an outdated reference. Complete one full discharge-charge cycle without interruption — the IC recalibrates against the actual cell curve and percentage reporting stabilises.

My Maven gets noticeably warm near the battery while charging the new cell — is that normal?

Some warmth during the first few charge cycles is expected. A fresh high-impedance Li-polymer cell sees higher internal resistance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more energy as heat during the constant-current phase. The warmth should reduce after two or three full cycles as the cell's internal resistance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, or charging stops before 100%, switch to a lower-current charger — 5V/1A — for the first full cycle.
