Fits Auerswald Comfort DECT 800 handset; replaces OEM battery pack for this DECT cordless phone model.
3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full talk time and standby capacity matching original handset performance.
Connector slides straight into handset battery slot; no locking tab or orientation risk on this platform.
We bench-tested this cell in a Comfort DECT 800 base pair — BMS accepted charge within spec; voltage stable under transmit load.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Auerswald Comfort DECT 800 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Auerswald Comfort DECT 800 cordless handset. It fits directly into the handset battery compartment and restores cordless operation when the original cell has lost capacity or failed. Dimensions are 46.30 x 32.00 x 10.50mm — confirm against your existing pack before ordering.

  • Comfort DECT 800 handset fit: The Comfort DECT 800 uses a single Ni-MH cell at 3.6V to power its DECT radio and audio circuit. This pack matches that voltage rail and physical form factor, including the contact orientation the handset expects.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on DECT-class handset loads. The BMS held stable across the full discharge curve, and the cell accepted charge current without thermal runaway or voltage spike at the termination point.
  • First-charge protocol for Ni-MH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base station and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. Ni-MH cells shipped in partial state need a slow, complete first charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this shortens usable talk time from the start.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

Ni-MH cells do not deliver rated capacity on the first cycle — they typically need three to five full charge-discharge cycles before the electrodes reach full chemical activity. If your Comfort DECT 800 feels like it runs out faster than the original, this is expected behaviour, not a fault. Each full cycle adds recoverable capacity. By cycle four or five, talk time should stabilise close to the 700mAh rated figure. Run the handset until it drops out, then return it to the base for a full 16-hour charge — repeat three times.

Base station shows no charge light or error after battery swap

Ni-MH packs lose voltage during storage — if the cell voltage drops too low, the Comfort DECT 800 base station may not recognise it as a chargeable pack and will show no charge indicator or flag an error. The base is looking for a minimum voltage before it initiates the charge cycle. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly — this resets the charge detection circuit. If the base still shows no activity after five minutes, the pack voltage is likely below the acceptance threshold; place the handset on the base for at least 30 minutes undisturbed to allow trickle current to bring the cell up to a recognisable voltage level.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Auerswald Comfort DECT 800 loses range right after the battery swap — did I get a faulty pack?

This is almost always a voltage sag issue, not a faulty cell. A new Ni-MH pack that hasn't been fully conditioned will drop voltage under the RF transmit load of the DECT radio, causing the handset to pull back its signal strength. Run three to five full charge-discharge cycles first — range typically normalises once the cell reaches full electrochemical capacity. After cycle three, check that range matches your original handset behaviour.

My Comfort DECT 800 handset lost its pairing to the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT handsets clear their pairing data when power is completely removed, which happens during a battery swap. The fix is to re-register the handset manually through the base station menu. On most Auerswald DECT bases, enter the base settings, select handset registration, then initiate pairing from the handset within the 60-second window the base opens.

The handset battery is dead every morning even though I put it in the base each night — what's causing this?

Overnight drain usually means the handset isn't making full contact with the base charging pins. Check that the handset clicks fully into the cradle — a slight tilt or debris on the contacts breaks the charge circuit. Clean both the handset contacts and the base cradle pins with a dry cloth, then reseat the handset until the charge indicator activates. If the indicator never shows, the cell voltage may be below 3.0V and needs the 30-minute trickle approach before the base will resume normal charging.
