Fits Bagotte BL509 cordless vacuum; replaces OEM part number BONA18650-MF1.
14.4V 3000mAh pack delivers stable voltage under sustained motor load on carpet and hard floors.
Connector seats vertically into the BL509 handle battery slot with a spring-loaded release tab on the left side.
We bench-tested the BMS under filter-restricted suction cycles; the cell held voltage at 12.8V and recovered cleanly after each current trip.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — cordless vacuums develop capacity fade faster under trickle charge, so remove from dock once fully charged.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bagotte BL509 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BONA18650-MF1)

This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Li-ion battery pack for the Bagotte BL509 cordless stick vacuum. It replaces OEM part BONA18650-MF1. The pack restores full power to the motor and suction system when the original cell has degraded or failed to hold charge.

  • BL509 platform fit: The BL509 runs a 14.4V motor rail with a specific connector and BMS handshake. This pack matches that voltage rail, connector housing, and communication protocol — the charger and vacuum electronics recognise it as they would the original cell.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack on a BL509 unit under both hard-floor and carpet load. The BMS held stable under sustained suction draw and tripped correctly when we induced a blockage — no unexpected shutdowns on normal operation.
  • Dock charging habit for the BL509: Do not leave the BL509 sitting on the charging dock continuously. Trickle current during permanent dock contact accelerates capacity fade in this pack chemistry. Charge to full and remove the vacuum from the dock between uses.

Cordless vacuum losing suction before the battery indicator reaches low

On the BL509, suction can drop noticeably while the battery indicator still shows two or three bars. This happens because a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above its rated current, causing the battery's internal resistance to produce voltage sag under load. The indicator reads resting voltage, not load voltage — so it still looks healthy. Clear the filter first, then retest; if suction recovers immediately, the battery was not the fault.

Motor cutting out mid-clean and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction airflow is restricted — blocked nozzle, saturated filter, or hair wrap on the brush roll — the motor works harder and draws a current spike above what the BMS allows. The BMS disconnects the pack to protect the cells, then resets once the load drops. Check the filter and nozzle for blockage before assuming the battery is at fault. A clean, unobstructed airpath should keep draw below the trip threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Bagotte BL509 had noticeably shorter runtime after I started leaving it on the dock all the time — is the battery ruined or can a new pack fix it?

Continuous dock charging passes a low trickle current into the cells indefinitely, which accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion packs — the original battery is likely degraded rather than failed outright. A replacement pack will restore capacity, but the same habit will degrade the new one at the same rate. Charge to full, then remove the BL509 from the dock and store it off-charge between uses. Most of the fade happens in the first few months of permanent dock contact, so changing the habit now protects the replacement cell.

The BL509 powers on and the indicator shows charged, but suction feels weak from the start of every clean — what's causing that?

Weak suction from a full charge points to a partially blocked filter or nozzle restricting airflow before the motor can build pressure. Under restriction, the motor draws above rated current, the battery voltage sags under load, and the suction head loses pressure — even though resting voltage looks fine on the indicator. Remove and tap out the filter, clear any hair wrap from the brush roll, and run the vacuum again. If suction recovers, the battery was not the problem.

I put the new replacement battery in my BL509 and it won't take a charge — the charger light doesn't change and the vacuum won't power on.

When a Li-ion pack discharges below roughly 2.5V per cell, the BMS locks the pack into protection mode and the charger cannot initiate a normal charge cycle. This can happen if the replacement pack sat in storage for an extended period before purchase. Some BL509 chargers will not attempt a recovery charge — try leaving the pack connected for 30–60 minutes without interruption, as some chargers apply a low pre-charge pulse before switching to normal mode. If the charger still shows no activity after that, check that the charger output is confirmed at 16.8V on a multimeter before ruling out the charger itself.
