Fits Cecotec CONGA 1290, CONGA 1390, CONGA 1490, CONGA 1590 robotic vacuum cleaners; replaces OEM battery part number CONG0003.
This 14.4V 3000mAh Li-ion cell delivers 43.2Wh of energy for sustained suction during autonomous floor runs.
Connector slots vertically into the battery bay on the underside of the vacuum chassis; polarization prevents reverse insertion.
We bench-tested the BMS on a CONGA 1290 dock charger — cell accepted full voltage charge cycle with no early shutoff or fault indication.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously; cordless vacuum dock chargers deliver trickle current that degrades Li-ion capacity faster than standard charge-and-remove cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Cecotec Conga 1290 / 1390 / 1490 / 1590 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CONG0003)

This is a 14.4V 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Cecotec Conga 1290 robotic vacuum. It fits the Conga 1290, 1390, 1490, and 1590 series. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds enough charge to complete a full cleaning cycle.

  • Conga 1290–1590 series compatibility: These four models share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. The same cell works across all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through charge and discharge cycles on a Conga unit and confirmed the BMS communicated correctly with the dock charger — no false full-charge trips or premature cutoffs.
  • Dock charging habit for the Conga platform: Do not leave the Conga sitting on the charging dock permanently between uses. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells at this voltage tier. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

The Conga's motor draws significantly more current when the filter is partially blocked or the intake is restricted. As current demand spikes, the BMS reduces power delivery to protect the cell — the result is a noticeable suction drop even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. This is not a battery fault. Clean the filter and check the intake path first. If suction recovers after that, the battery is functioning correctly.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip. When the motor sustains a restricted draw — usually from a clogged filter or a tangled brush roll — the cell voltage sags below the BMS protection threshold and the unit shuts off briefly. Once the BMS resets, power returns. The fix is to clear the restriction, not to replace the battery. If cutouts continue on a clean filter and clear brush roll, measure resting cell voltage at the dock connector — it should read 16.4V at full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Conga runs for a short time and then stops — could the filter be the cause even with a new battery?

Yes. A partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw more current than its rated load, which triggers the BMS overcurrent cutoff well before the cell is depleted. Remove and clean the filter thoroughly, then run the unit again. If the cycle length improves, the battery is fine — the filter was the cause.

The Conga stopped charging on the dock after I installed the replacement battery — what should I check?

The Conga's dock charger expects a specific BMS handshake before it begins charging. If the replacement cell's BMS does not respond correctly, the charger will not initiate. First, confirm the battery connector is fully seated. Then place the unit on the dock and check whether the dock LED activates — if there is no response at all, the cell voltage may have dropped too low for the charger to recognise it. Connect the Conga directly to the charger cable (if your model supports it) to allow a low-voltage recovery charge, then return it to the dock.

The Conga used to clean the whole floor in one session but now it stops partway through — the battery is fairly new. What causes this?

Capacity fade from continuous dock charging is the most common cause on newer cells. If the Conga has been sitting on the dock permanently between sessions, the constant trickle charge degrades Li-ion capacity faster than normal cycling. Remove the unit from the dock once it reaches full charge and only return it when the battery is depleted. After three to four full charge-discharge cycles this way, check whether session length improves.
