Fits Vileda VR302 robotic vacuum; replaces OEM battery part number BONA18650-MF1.
14.4V, 3000mAh capacity delivers consistent motor voltage across hard floors and carpet cleaning cycles.
Connector slides straight into the battery slot with a locking tab that seats flush against the housing.
We tested the pack at full charge and monitored BMS response under sustained motor load; cutoff occurred at rated threshold with no premature trigger.
Do not leave this vacuum on the charging dock continuously — trickle charge degrades capacity faster than charge-and-remove cycles; top up only when depleted.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vileda VR302 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BONA18650-MF1)

This is a 14.4V, 3000mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Vileda VR302 robotic vacuum cleaner. It slots into the VR302's battery compartment and restores autonomous floor cleaning on hard floors and carpets. Capacity matches the original specification at 3000mAh (43.2Wh).

  • VR302 platform fit: The VR302 runs a 14.4V cell architecture with a BMS that monitors pack voltage and current draw during navigation and suction cycles. This replacement uses the same BONA18650-MF1 cell configuration, so the BMS handshake and connector align without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through full discharge and recharge sequences on the VR302 platform. The BMS handled motor-start current draw without tripping, and cell balancing held stable across repeated cycles.
  • Dock charging habit on robotic vacuums: Do not leave the VR302 sitting on its charging dock permanently between cleaning sessions. Continuous trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells faster than intermittent charge cycles. Charge to full, then remove the unit from the dock until the next scheduled run.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low on the VR302

This happens when the filter is partially blocked — the motor has to work harder to pull airflow, drawing more current than the rated load. Under that sustained higher draw, pack voltage sags early and the BMS registers a low-voltage condition before the indicator catches up. The vacuum's suction drops noticeably even though the display shows a healthy charge state. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — normal voltage sag returns once airflow restriction is cleared.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle then recovers after a short pause

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When suction is restricted — blocked filter, tangled brush roll, or a thick rug edge — current spikes past the BMS threshold and it shuts the output to protect the cells. The pack recovers once current drops and the BMS resets. Clear the blockage, check the brush roll for hair wrap, and confirm filter flow is unobstructed before restarting.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VR302 was charging fine for months, now the replacement battery won't charge at all — the dock light stays off. What's wrong?

The VR302's charger expects a minimum cell voltage before it will begin a charge cycle — if the pack sits fully depleted for an extended period, the BMS may lock out charging as a protection measure. Remove the battery, wait 10 minutes, then reseat it firmly in the dock to prompt a BMS re-initialisation attempt. If the dock light still does not respond, check the dock contacts for oxidation and clean them with a dry cloth. A successful handshake should show the dock indicator within 60 seconds of reseating.

The VR302 completes about half its usual floor area before returning to dock — filter is clean and the battery is new. Why is runtime so short on a fresh cell?

A new Li-ion pack often needs two or three full charge-discharge cycles before it reaches rated capacity — the cells are not fully conditioned from storage. Run the vacuum until the low-battery return triggers, charge fully, and repeat twice. If short coverage persists after three cycles, check that the brush roll spins freely with no resistance, as drag causes the motor to draw above rated current and depletes the pack faster than normal.

The VR302 has been sitting unused for three months and now it won't power on even after docking overnight. Is the battery recoverable?

Three months of inactivity can drop Li-ion cell voltage below the BMS's minimum recovery threshold — around 2.5V per cell — and the BMS will refuse to accept a charge. Try placing the battery in the dock for a full 24-hour period rather than overnight; some chargers include a slow pre-charge mode that can bring a deeply discharged pack back above the acceptance threshold. If the dock light never activates after 24 hours, measure pack voltage at the battery terminals — a reading below 10V across the full 14.4V pack indicates cells have dropped too far for recovery.
