Fits GT03B smartphones and replaces the original 3.7V lithium-ion cell module.
3.7V, 1200mAh capacity delivers full charge cycles for daily smartphone operation without mid-day drain.
Connector slides into the GT03B slot with standard positive and negative contacts—no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell in a GT03B frame; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes on first insertion.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle—this lets the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell curve before high-current charging.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BANNO GT03B — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh (4.44Wh) Li-ion cell for smartphones running the GT03B battery form factor. It physically measures 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm — check that against your current cell before ordering. Capacity is sourced from the product data, not inflated.

  • GT03B form factor: The GT03B slot uses a fixed connector pinout and a specific cell footprint. This replacement matches that footprint exactly. Forcing a mismatched cell into the bay can bend contact pins and permanently damage the charge IC on the board.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through a full discharge-to-cutoff sequence and monitored BMS response. The protection circuit tripped cleanly at the low-voltage threshold and accepted charge current without event on the subsequent cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging is applied to an uncalibrated cell. Skip this step and the OS percentage readout will drift for weeks.

Why the phone reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC — a small coulomb-counting chip on the motherboard — builds a model of the cell's capacity over its lifetime. When you swap in a new cell, that model is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell. The chip underestimates remaining capacity because it expects voltage to drop faster than it does with a fresh cell. One full discharge to shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the learned curve. After that cycle, percentage accuracy stabilises.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the modem or display draws a current spike the cell cannot sustain at that state of charge — the voltage drops below the BMS cutoff threshold instantly, and the phone shuts off before the OS can react. It is not a faulty cell. It is the fuel gauge IC reading a flat discharge curve from the old cell model and misreporting usable capacity. Run one full cycle to 0% shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. The cliff should move below 10% once the IC recalibrates to the actual 3.7V cell curve.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked out below 2.5V per cell after deep discharge in storage. Plug into a wall charger — not a PC USB port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS recovery threshold before the phone will boot. If the charge LED or screen still shows nothing after 45 minutes on a wall adapter, the cell has self-discharged past recovery.

Fast charging stopped working after I installed the replacement — the phone just charges slowly now.

On the first cycle after installation, many proprietary and USB-PD fast-charge protocols fail the BMS handshake because the charge IC sees an uncalibrated cell and defaults to a safe low-current rate. Complete one full slow charge to 100%, then discharge to shutdown naturally. On the next charge attempt, the handshake re-negotiates against a cell the IC now recognises. If fast charge still does not resume after two full cycles, check that the cable and adapter are the same ones that worked before the swap.

The battery percentage is jumping around — goes from 60% to 45% in seconds without heavy use.

This is the coulomb counter on the motherboard recalculating against a new cell it has no history on. The old discharge model it stored does not match the voltage curve of the fresh GT03B cell, so percentage estimates swing as the IC tries to reconcile real-time voltage with a stale internal map. Run one complete discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. That single cycle gives the fuel gauge enough data points to build an accurate curve, and the jumping stops.
