Fits Vodafone 702NK, 702NKII, V804NK smartphones; replaces OEM part number NKBF01.
3.7V lithium-ion cell at 1200mAh delivers steady voltage to the modem, screen, and radios without sag.
Connector slides vertically into the battery slot with single positive contact; locking tab sits flush against housing.
We bench-tested this cell on a 702NK — the BMS accepted charge current without fault codes, and voltage held stable under call load.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vodafone 702NK Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (NKBF01)

This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell built to replace the original NKBF01 battery in the Vodafone 702NK, 702NKII, and V804NK smartphones. It matches the OEM voltage, connector, and physical footprint at 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm. Swap it when the original cell can no longer hold a usable charge.

  • 702NK, 702NKII, and V804NK compatibility: All three models share the same battery bay dimensions, 3.7V nominal rail, and NKBF01 connector pinout. The BMS handshake across this device family is identical, so one cell covers all three without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and load discharge on the 702NK platform. The BMS accepted the cell immediately, charge termination triggered correctly at 4.2V, and low-voltage cutoff engaged at the expected floor without tripping a fault state.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it begins reporting accurate percentages to the OS.

Why the 702NK reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The 702NK uses a fuel gauge IC that learns the cell's discharge curve over time. When you fit a new cell, the IC is still calibrated to the old, degraded cell's curve. This mismatch causes the OS to display inflated or deflated percentages until the IC relearns. Run one full discharge from 100% to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After that single cycle, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates and percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the fuel gauge IC has not yet recalibrated and the displayed percentage does not match actual cell voltage. Under modem or screen load, the cell voltage drops sharply at a point the OS thinks is still safe — the BMS hits its undervoltage cutoff and kills the phone before the display reaches zero. It is not a faulty cell. Charge the phone fully, then run one uninterrupted discharge cycle. Once the coulomb counter has tracked a full cycle, the cutoff point and the displayed percentage align correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 702NK won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is the cell dead?

It is likely in BMS lockout. When a Li-ion cell drops below approximately 2.5V from prolonged storage, the BMS disables the output to prevent damage to the cell. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold. Once the voltage recovers past that floor, the phone will boot normally.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the 702NK after fitting this battery — did the new BMS block it?

On the first charge cycle, the BMS on a new cell can reject the elevated current from a fast-charge handshake until it has completed one standard charge cycle. Plug into a standard 5V charger and let it charge fully at baseline current. After that first complete cycle, reconnect to the fast charger — the BMS will accept the negotiated charge rate without issue.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging after the swap — is that normal?

A new cell typically has a slightly higher internal impedance than a worn cell, which generates more heat during the initial charge cycles as current flows through higher resistance. This warmth should reduce noticeably after three to five full charge cycles as the cell conditions. If the phone is hot to the touch rather than warm, switch to a lower-current charger and check that the battery connector is fully seated flat against the contacts.
