Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZIKOM Z650 / Z660 / Z710 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 1200mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original battery in the ZIKOM Z650, Z660, and Z710 smartphones. At 53.00 × 33.90 × 5.70mm, it matches the physical footprint of the factory cell. Swap it in when the original no longer holds a usable charge through a normal day.
- Z650 / Z660 / Z710 shared platform: These three models run the same 3.7V battery rail and use an identical connector pinout and cell cavity, which is why one cell covers all three. The BMS handshake uses the same charge IC across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge-discharge passes and monitored BMS cut-in and cut-off thresholds. The protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage floor and the charge IC accepted the cell without fault flags on a standard USB input.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first cycle: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC a clean discharge curve to map against the new cell before any high-current fast charging runs into an uncalibrated coulomb counter.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Z650 after a cell swap
This is a voltage cliff issue, not a capacity issue. When the modem or screen pulls a high current burst, a fresh cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge IC can sag below the system cutoff voltage even though the reported percentage still shows charge remaining. The phone interprets the voltage drop as a hard low-battery event and shuts down immediately. Run one full discharge to 0% and a full charge to 100% without interruption — this resets the coulomb counter baseline and the shutdowns stop.
Phone warm near the battery during the first two charges
A new high-impedance cell generates more heat during the initial charge cycles than a broken-in cell does. The charge IC pushes current into a cell with higher internal resistance, and that resistance converts some energy to heat rather than stored charge. This is normal for the first two or three cycles and the temperature drops as the cell's internal resistance settles. If the phone stays warm after the third full charge, check that the back cover is seated flush — poor thermal contact with the chassis traps heat.

Frequently Asked Questions
My ZIKOM Z650 just shuts off at around 25% battery — did I get a faulty replacement cell?
This is almost always the fuel gauge IC reading the new cell against the old cell's discharge curve. The coulomb counter still expects the voltage sag profile of a worn battery, so when the fresh cell sags differently under modem load, the system hits its cutoff voltage while the display still shows 25%. Run one uninterrupted full discharge to 0% followed by a full charge to 100% at standard speed. That single cycle recalibrates the fuel gauge and the premature shutdowns stop.
After fitting the replacement battery, fast charging on my Z650 is no longer working — it only charges slowly now.
On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge ICs on this platform revert to a conservative current limit until the BMS confirms the new cell is within expected impedance range. Fast charging — whether USB-PD or proprietary protocol — typically resumes automatically after one standard-rate full charge cycle. Plug into a wall adapter (not a PC USB port) and let it complete a full charge without disconnecting. If fast charge still does not activate after that, confirm the cable is rated for the higher current — a charge-only cable will cap current regardless of the adapter.
The battery arrived after sitting in storage. My Z650 won't power on at all — nothing on screen, no charging indicator.
Storage discharge can push the cell below 2.5V, which triggers BMS lockout — a protection state that blocks current flow to prevent cell damage from deep discharge. The phone shows nothing because the BMS is preventing any load. Connect the phone to a wall adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons — the charge IC on this platform applies a trickle pre-charge current to bring the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold of approximately 3.0V. Once the indicator LED or charging screen appears, the BMS has unlocked and normal charging will continue from that point.
