Fits BASE Lutea 2 smartphone; replaces original 3.7V lithium-ion cell.
Voltage 3.7V and 1100mAh capacity sustains talk time and standby on basic call and messaging use.
Connector slides into original battery slot with no modification; locking tab engagement matches factory orientation.
We bench-tested the cell at 0.5C discharge; BMS held steady voltage curve with no early cutoff on load simulation.
On first use after installation, run one complete discharge-charge cycle without fast charging to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BASE Lutea 2 — 3.7V Li-ion 1100mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 1100mAh lithium-ion cell for the BASE Lutea 2 smartphone. It replaces the original battery when the phone no longer holds charge or shuts down unexpectedly. Swap it in when the existing cell has degraded past usable capacity.

  • Lutea 2 cell fit: The Lutea 2 uses a compact 84 x 34 x 4mm cell at 3.7V nominal. This replacement matches those physical and electrical parameters exactly — same connector position, same charge termination voltage the phone's charge IC expects at 4.2V.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the bench and confirmed the BMS communicates cleanly with the phone. The fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without throwing a fault on the charge controller.
  • First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. This gives the Lutea 2's coulomb counter a clean reference curve for the new cell and prevents early percentage-reading drift.

Why the Lutea 2 reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The Lutea 2 uses a fuel gauge IC that builds its capacity model from the discharge curve of the cell it learned on — typically the original factory cell. When you install a replacement, the IC still references that old curve. Until it recalibrates, it can report 40% remaining when the cell is actually at 15%. One full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge corrects the reference. After that cycle, percentage readings stabilise.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Lutea 2 after battery replacement

This is a voltage cliff failure, not a capacity problem. Under load — modem transmitting, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage drops sharply below the 3.4V threshold the phone's protection circuit uses as its cutoff. A new cell with an uncalibrated fuel gauge makes this worse because the phone does not know real state-of-charge. If this occurs, run that first full discharge cycle. If shutdowns persist below 3.5V under load after two full cycles, the cell has a high internal resistance issue — check charge current is reaching at least 500mA during the charge phase.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BASE Lutea 2 is stuck on the boot logo and won't start after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for months — is it dead?

It is not dead. A cell stored below 2.5V triggers BMS lockout to prevent damage, and the phone cannot boot from that state. Plug it into a wall charger — not a USB port — and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes without pressing anything. The charge IC will trickle current into the cell until voltage recovers above the BMS wake threshold, typically 2.9V, at which point the phone will boot normally.

The Lutea 2 battery percentage is jumping around erratically — showing 60%, then 80%, then 45% within minutes. What is happening?

The fuel gauge IC is recalibrating against the new cell's discharge curve and has not yet built a stable model. This is expected after a cell swap and not a fault with the replacement. Run one complete discharge — use the phone normally until it shuts itself off — then charge it to 100% in a single uninterrupted session. The coulomb counter will lock onto the new cell's curve and the percentage readings will stabilise after that cycle.

The Lutea 2 feels warm near the battery during the first charge with the new cell — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell produces more heat than a broken-in one during the initial constant-current charge phase. On the first charge, the phone's charge IC pushes current into a cell with slightly higher internal resistance than the aged original — that converts more energy to heat temporarily. It should be warm to the touch, not hot. If the back of the phone is too hot to hold comfortably, disconnect and let it cool to room temperature before resuming. After two or three full cycles, internal resistance drops and the warmth reduces noticeably.
